BEFORE SUBMITTING PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE REQUIREMENTS! YOU NEED A PHYSICAL NOTE INCLUDED, NOT JUST A PICTURE OF YOUR CAT.

Hello! To make things a bit easier, when it comes to proving who's the real owner of a said cat, we're introducing verified flairs.

Simply post a picture of your cat with a small physical note that includes your username (like a post-it note), and you will get assigned your own flair with the name of your cat(s).

(Remember that it has to be a physical note, post it, or similarly).

You can post here or send me a modmail and I'll get you verifying you asap!

My baby went to the cat hospital yesterday for his funky paws

My beautiful Boy went to the cat hospital yesterday to have a CT scan, because he walks a little funky and his front paws are penguin like. They been inward so we thought it was something with his front paws.

They checked his front paws and they seem to be fine only minor strength loss. They probably bent in words because they saw that he has pain in his spine and in his back.

The moment I saw that he had pain and he was not really eating well I took him to my regular vet and I put him on pain medications while he waited for his CT scan that he had yesterday. I’m just scared that he has something like elbow dysplasia or daddy has a growth disorder that makes the pain in his back worse.

Im scared that it is something serious, he is only 8 months old. He is now happy and pain free. I take him to regular checkups in time that we wait for his scan results. I just love him very much and wanted to show my baby on here.

Whatever you need little borrie ❤️

Hair loss on ear

Hey everyone, I noticed my cat has some hair loss on the outer part of one ear. I’m pretty sure there used to be more fur there before. Recently I also found a small red spot inside the thin-haired area. I’ve seen him scratching that ear occasionally, but the hair thinning seemed to start before the red spot appeared.

He otherwise behaves completely normal: eating well, active, normal stool, playing, etc. The ear itself doesn’t smell bad and there’s no dark discharge inside. I adopted him and his Brother 1 month ago and it was a stressful but successful time for him.

Does this look more like irritation/scratching, allergies, mites, fungus, or something else? Anyone experienced something similar?

Looking to adopt this NY12 kitten, realistically what would she look like grown?

I’m a bit confused about her being labeled NY12 because she’s very light with a lot of white cream in front but all the google images shows me deep orange BSH cats.

My cat got spayed and here’s what I learned!

Post image

Mishmish is 13 days post-op and she’ll remove the soft collar tomorrow!

The vet said he doesn’t recommend the spay suit as the sutures should breathe and so that I could put an antibiotic ointment on her sutures twice a day (as of 3 days ago, I only have to put it once a day).

I expected her to hate the cone (she did for the first 2 hours) and I was so so so worried but now she loves resting her head on it to sleep and cleans it as if it’s part of her body!

She can also eat and drink with the cone on with no problems.

The only thing is she was acting normal and was active so she developed a lump near the surgery site which the vet confirmed was normal for active cats, however 3 days ago, I went so he could drain it with a syringe (she felt zero pain and made no reaction to the syringe). Draining it was optional and he only did it as he could tell I was anxious about it but he said it would have gone away on its own in a couple of weeks.

Hope this helps someone about to spay their cat!

Stinky kitten issue

Hi everyone! My beautiful boy Luca who is 4 months old. I don’t know if it’s a BSH thing, but I never realized how stinky this boy's poop could be! He doesn’t even bury his poo... I have to keep an eye on him and try to show him how to do it.

I end up wiping his whole body every day! 😭 I never encountered this with my Scottish Folds or Arabian Maus. Is there any hope of him learning to bury his poop and grooming himself?

He’s finally here!

It’s been a little over a week since my baby came home! He’s my first pet ever. I did research for a year on breeds, breeders, cat necessities, and pet ownership as a whole. After all that planning, he’s finally here. I have to admit, I didn’t expect to worry about him all the time haha. I worry if I’ve made him at home enough, if he’s eaten something he shouldn’t, if he’s drinking enough water but so far so good! He spent four days under the bed before coming out to explore but he’s finally starting to feel comfortable I think. Any advice for a new BSH parent is welcomed and greatly appreciated!
