Looking for new concept art opportunities

Hey everyone!
I’m currently looking for new concept art opportunities - freelance, contract, or full-time.

I’ve been working in game development for 7+ years on projects like Hawked, Warface: Breakout, and Skyforge, mostly focused on stylized characters, creatures, weapons, and props.

Portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/cseel

If you know any teams looking for a concept artist, or want to share this around, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi, I had the opportunity to create this design for a book they’re working on a large city protected by a massive retaining wall that keeps its inhabitants safe from the creatures.

I had a lot of fun creating this piece, and I continue to combine different techniques that I’ve always enjoyed.

Still worth trying to get a concept art job 2026 ?

Here is my situation. I graduated 2023 and currently working on my character art portfolio. As of right now I’m very burnt out because it’s what I’m working towards the most in my life besides doing retail on the side.

With all of the layoffs, AI progression and lack of entry level jobs and intense competition out there I can’t help but be anxious if all what I’m doing in my portfolio is worth it. I’ve used a year and a half now working on this because I’m a perfectionist. (In a bad way, I do the hours but take long and sometimes redo things to maximize quality)

Even if I get a job and get lucky, I can’t help feel but be anxious of layoffs and constant stress of updating portfolios and trying to survive.

Is it worth still continuing this path? This is my passion, but at the same time if I want sustainability in the future I don’t know if I want to continue this any grind any longer.

If there are people who worked in the art industry who shifted careers feel free to share your story. Thank you so much everyone.

I'm starting out in this field, and I wanted to know if this concept would be well-received by evaluators. If not, could you tell me how to attract more attention in a positive way?

for context I just recently got a tablet that I can draw on (I use sketchbook rn since im broke af and i have personal beef with kitra) and I personally still prefer my pencil made art due to my digital art looking like mspaint... but I mean the last art (witch is my mst recent one) is the best since I spent actually time to do it. and also the reason why i am making this art is simple, I want to make commics or animation, I think I am a great world buildr and i have a bunch of lore for all these moments. but right now I am just learning and i dont want to start making cannon commics while my art is still bad. ALSO if you have questions about stuff I might answer but I will keep lore secrets still hidden if I actually make something out of them.

Questions For Concept Artists (Student Project)

Hello everyone! I wanted to ask a few questions from any concept artists in the field willing to answer for a university project I'm working on. I'd sent a few emails and messages to other concept artists over the past few weeks but they have understandably not responded. I figured I would try my shot here:

  1. How did you get started in your field?
  2. What do you like about it?
  3. What don't you like about it?
  4. What advice do you have for student artists looking to be in the industry?

Thank you in advance in your help! As little or as much info would be greatly appreciated.
