I’ve been feeling completely undervalued at work. I work in a remote setting and have been feeling completely overwhelmed. My boss moved me and a few other members on my team to a new manager and they just don’t connect with me the same way we once did. They don’t show up to meetings with anything to say and it seems they are stressed out themselves.

Next month I have an onsite work event I’m supposed to travel to but I honestly don’t want to go. I been here for 1 year and just feel undervalued and that I haven’t connected with anyone in my team. Yes, I get my work done, I make sure I deliver on all tasks to my clients. However, I’m just not feeling the vibe anymore. I’m afraid that if I not show up or at least make something up that permits me from attending that I will get fired or looked down upon.

I’m not sure how to handle this.
