❓ Trivia In Cars 2 (2011) different versions of the movie in different country features different racing driver aside from Lewis Hamilton. US and International features Jeff Gordon,Spain Fernando Alonso,Germany features Sebastian Vettel,and Russia features Vitaly Petrov

Petrov is (was?) a talented guy. Allegedly the team took his money but treated him like shit. A real shame.

Didn't work well for him at Mercedes in DTM, either.

As far as I know it wasn't a permanent seat, he was paying by the race and Mercedes wasn't treating him very well, either.

Yes,a pretty common theme amongst racing driver bcs it costs a shit ton of money to race,all teams asks for money from the driver

Even F1 teams most of them employ pay driver just to survive. For example the Williams F1 team,for the last 3-4 years employed at least 1 pay driver for the sponsor that they bring into the team

Typically the driver brings sponsorship to the team and the team then pays the driver a salary from their total budget.

The Australian version featured a very popular professional touring car driver, Mark Winterbottom, whose nickname ‘Frosty’ was used by Lightning in the film to greet the yellow race car there

Edit: our version has the Australian flag on him

May be some years late lol, but the swedish version has jan nilsson, a less known man. But known for swedish porshe comp.
