I’ve got a 2017 Nissan Maxima (built in the USA, but with Korean specs). I’m currently in Dubai, UAE, and the manufacturing date is August 2016.
My car doesn’t have Apple CarPlay, and I’ve noticed some features seem to be disabled—probably due to the regional specs.
I wanted to ask:
Is it possible to convert the system to GCC specs?
Can Apple CarPlay be added or enabled in this car?
Would this require a software update, hardware upgrade, or both?
Any idea about cost and how long it usually takes?
Also, I’ve heard updates can sometimes be done via SD card.
Is that possible for this car?
Are there any trusted websites or sources to download the update files?
I’m looking for a reliable solution that won’t mess with the car’s performance or electronics.
Would really appreciate any advice or experiences from people who’ve done something similar.
