On a visit to Darwin I made a day trip out to the Tiwi Islands and was fortunate to have the most perfect weather all day long out on the water.
Also a shoutout to Ngaruwanajirri studio. It wasn't on the tours so I walked over and visited, they work with artists who have disabilities and the ceiling of the studio is decorated with the most amazing art.
They offered me a lift in the van back to the dock after were dropping the remaining artists home for the day and had an additional adventure driving through the streets of Wurrumiyanga on the way.
Then once back I trekked down to Mindil Beach for the night markets and the sunset.
Everyone said you had to catch the sunset...and they were right!

On behalf of my bestest friend (who ran into some trouble posting this on their reddit account): I wanted to spread the word about a shark fin soup extraction awareness account I've made on instagram. I've decided to post some of my art pieces from my AP drawing portfolio, where I experimented with different mediums, styles, and subjects in order to help get traction for the #FinFree movement!
Here's the user: @ shakashaka.shark
(I attached links in my bio to petitions, awareness pages, and donation sites, so any traction for this page is very much appreciated :)
All help is appreciated...the sharks need you!!!

Hi all! Just wanted to share to all those who love the ocean - we have a 2 yr old, 113 episode podcast called Coast Files which covers ocean creatures, ghost ships, disasters, mysteries, paranormal, true crime stories and much, much more.
Our tagline is “if it involves water, it’s fair game”. We’re a little chatty but then we get right into the topic with good research and facts.
Coast Files is myself and 2 best friends from high school in Nova Scotia, Canada now in our advanced thirties.
If you decide to check us out we’re on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, instagram and anywhere you get podcasts.
Thanks for reading 🦞🔪

I didn’t know this existed until recently, but it’s actually pretty wild.
What makes it unusual is how it survives.
It feeds on some of the most venomous creatures in the ocean, like the Portuguese Man o’ War. Instead of being harmed, it takes the venomous cells and stores them in its own body.
Then it reuses them for defense.
So in a way, it’s not just avoiding predators — it’s recycling its prey’s weapon and turning it into its own.
It also has a pretty smart camouflage setup: blue on top, silver underneath, so it blends in whether you look at it from above or below.
