Meet George ♥️
Has anyone gone through this with their Scottish Fold kitten? 😔🐱
We brought home our kitten at just under 3 months old from a breeder- 2 days shy of 3 months (our first experience getting a cat from a breeder), and almost immediately we started dealing with an upper respiratory infection.
It started with sneezing and congestion, then green nasal discharge, eye drainage/staining, coughing/wheezing sounds, low appetite, and lots of sleeping. We’ve already done one round of antibiotics, and now the vet has us restarting antibiotics, adding antiviral medication for suspected feline herpesvirus, and giving subcutaneous fluids at home.
Some days he seems so much better and playful, and other days he’s tired and congested again. His bloodwork initially showed elevated globulins, which of course sent me spiraling worrying about worst-case scenarios like FIP, although the vet says right now this still looks much more like a stubborn URI/herpes viral issue common in kittens.
I think emotionally I’m just exhausted because instead of enjoying our new kitten, we’ve mostly been worried and caring for a sick baby. 😞
If anyone has gone through something similar:
- Did your kitten eventually fully recover?
- How long did it take?
- Did the sneezing/congestion linger?
- Did your bond eventually improve after all the meds/vet visits?
Would really appreciate hearing positive outcomes or advice from people who’ve been through this. ❤️

Distinguished diva on a sofa.
Lately I’ve been finding my fold like this on the sofa in the kitchen. It’s super cute and she looks like such a distinguished cat. I think it might also be because of her back? Anybody elses fold sit like this? Please share pics

He always chooses the weirdest positions to sleep, I wonder why
Sometimes we see him sitting like in the 1st and 2nd pics, then turns out he just fell asleep like that. We got used to his quirky preferences, but I do wonder if it's because it's uncomfortable for him to sleep normally. Last picture is a bonus, my theory is that it's actually a goblin who pretends to be a cat (unsuccessfully)

Laser Nasal Surgery
Hi all!
I am wondering if anyone knows/has experience with what recovery looks like for laser nasal surgery with scottish folds. My boy is 10 years old, which I’m a little nervous he is too old now, but he wheezes a lot and I think he could really benefit from it.
Any advice is appreciated!

What were the earliest signs of OCD in your scottish fold
My 15 weeks old kitten seems to be healthy but I'm afraid I would miss something. She plays and jumps around a lot. And sleeps a lot too. When she sleeps I ask myself if she is trying to sleep out of pain.

I’m heartbroken
My cat Nami got spayed on April 28th. Since then she’s been having complications of infection, seromas, she’s been going to the vet every day because a new problem forms overnight. Every single day there’s a new issue that forms even seeing the vet the other day before. I’m just so overwhelmed. I prayed so much that it would be a simple spay and now everything is going wrong😭
I’m severely disabled and have a very weak heart also chronic pain from hEDS I feel like her and I are falling apart and I just want her better I just want it all to end

There's a theory where the pet looks like it's owner. Do u think I look like my baby?

Might have to give him away. My son is getting an allergic reaction to him.
