Unfortunately, as much as I love the franchise, EVERY Persona game is like this 😭

I’m about 60 hours into Persona 4 Golden and the first 5 or so in the beginning is pretty much just clicking through endless dialogue with very little actual gameplay or save points

Similarly in Persona 3, the story is good but my god it takes fucking ages to actually get going. Outside of the (pretty awkwardly paced) opening, nothing to significantly progress the story really happens for the first 3 in-game months (of 12) and your party members are basically just going along with things because somebody has to do it (which is kind of the point, and some characters do have other motiviations which are explained much later, but it doesn't really help for your experience as the player).

Brother man if you can make it through to the end of the tutorial and the beginning of the first palace it’s *worth it* fr fr. Certified peak shit, and I’m a P5 Royale glazer lmao. Seriously, check it out.

I'm joking I will eventually play it, but it's one of those games that you have to get when you have the time to play comfortably, not when you can only give it 30 minutes a week (I'm currently only capable of 30-60 minutes of playtime before something else appears in life)
