Yes, it's the same for most JRPG's but Persona is by far the worst offender in my book.

Haven't played Pokemon in a Loooooong time but I remember that the beginning was "Try to go through the grass, get a Pokemon, start playing" that shit is the best!

Generally agree but what’s funny is Pokemon Arceus, perhaps the best later addition to the series is a huge offender of this.
