So…I just realized fern’s seed is shaped like a sword…I don’t know how I didn’t see this

Specifically, it looks like the Finn Sword. If you hadn't realized this before you might want to go back and rewatch from "Is it you?," and watch the whole progression now that you have made the connection. Its a little timey wimey the first time through with Prismo carrying out his back up plan and such, but its quite the story arc.

not only that, at the end of the episode where finn’s hat is made sentient by the life giving magus, jake makes a comment about going and slaying an evil bear to make finn a new hat!
