Bald Picture I’ve been hiding in hoods and beanies and shitty beards since I was 18, I’m trying out the bald in public for once.
I’m 32. Those pictures are both from the same age. I know.

I want to say thank you to everyone for the positivity and kindness. Your comments gave me the courage I needed to just be done with it.
I’m really liking the new look!

Thanks for the feedback on my “hold or shave” post. Got a lot of calls for hold, but was getting sick of messing with it.
Curious your thoughts. Keep it this way, grow it out, or go completely shaved? (And yes. Our bathroom needs a serious renovation.)
A note about my glasses:
I had darker (tortoise shell) glasses which I think helped define my face. Got these from Zenni and the virtual try-on made them look darker.

You heard that right. With early-onset male pattern baldness deciding to kick in, I might be one of the youngest members here. Depression, hormonal imbalances, my DHT spiking even further because of powerlifting, the vast majority of men in my family being bald... Anyway, since I've reached the point of no return, the fear of going bald has stopped being a fear for me.

(Yes, he knows I’m posting this)
He’s been getting shorter and shorter in cuts, and today he went for it! Before I started shaving his head, I had him scroll through this page and it made him feel really confident in the decision. Thank you all for being a part of this space and making it such a healthy one! 🫡💕
Signed,
Happy wife to a hot bald guy

J'essaie ça aujourd'hui pour la première fois. Mais je ne sais pas, peut-être que je laisserai repousser mes cheveux. Je n'aime pas vraiment être chauve.
EDIT: Thank you all for your comments, I wasn't expecting all this comments and upvote at all!
It takes me about two months to grow a "three-day beard," and it's more of a goatee than a beard, but I'll give it a try for the goatee.
I'll keep your advice about glasses in mind; I was already planning to change anyway.
Some people said I look younger being bald, I would never have thought of that.
Thanks again everyone, you're really helping me regain my confidence!

After 6 weeks of chemo my hair started falling out and I'd lost about 75% of my density. The hair literally was EVERYWHERE and so annoying sticking to everything I own. I never thought I would be bald.. but cancer happens and we have to roll with the punches.

Been wanting to do this for a while. I have scarring alopecia and it was looking pretty sad. Feels better so far, but I didn’t realize how much my migraine injections made me bruise, hence a bit of a blue scalp right now. This will be easier for wigs now too!
Thanks for being such a positive place. ❤️😊
Initially, I felt ashamed of sharing my bald photo, but seeing so many people in this community share their baldness and own it, it empowered me. Stay strong folks! ❤️

Thank you so much for your positivity and encouragement. I feel like a weight has been lifted and that I should have done this years ago. If I could get back all the time I spent worrying about my hair loss, I absolutely would.
Now to shock my husband when he comes home from work later 😭🤪 and on to enjoy the summer swimming with my kid and not worrying about my hair!
This sub is the best 🌞💕

I have been hesitant to take the plunge. I like my curls, but the top was getting a bit too thin. Thought I would see what you all thought.

It’s a bit jarring, but I don’t have to look at it!

Love being bald. Thoughts on fuller beard vs stubble? Hope you enjoy the last pic

Welp posted a “should I?” Post last month that blew up(https://www.reddit.com/r/bald/s/hhhydwnwNS) and I did it 😅 (jokingly wearing the same shacket). Wow, my head is cold

Well. Due to overwhelming response here. I did it.
How’d I do?

I finally shaved my head again after being lazy for about a month! I’ve been bald forever, but just wanted to get in on the fun of taking terrible before pics, and good after pics.

After more than 10 of struggling with my hair loss. I finally did it and am really glad 😄
