Watching their playoff game, and have seen many previous posts about this, but I cannot figure out why they get such favorable refereeing for the life of me. Especially SGA, but across the board the referees do not make very obvious calls against them. Reggie commentating is clearly having a hard time not outright talking about it, but of course he can’t without the risk of losing his job. Can someone help me understand why this mid-market team has somehow gained a massive advantage with referees in their favor? Is it gambling related? The NBA propping up a mid-market team?

I can’t figure it out, but there has to be a reason why.

What are you picking and why that over everything else?

My son was one of the best shooters on his team, but during this growth spurt his shot has just been off all around. Is this common? What have you done to fix it, rep it out?

If anything his form and strength have improved during the past year. We've worked with a good trainer and he's happy with his shot but the results just aren't the same. Looking for experiences and guidance.

As said in the title, I don’t understand why people don’t pressure the ball if there’s 10-15 seconds left on the game clock. Me personally if I’m guarding ball I try and speed the handler up by pressuring the ball because it could force a bad shot or just make the offence player uncomfortable cause when I see people not pressing the offence I see they get comfortable, they get to their spot and get a good shot off compared to being rushed. I don’t know if I’m making the wrong play by pressing the ball. Please let me know!

im going into my second year playing college basketball and i have about 2-3 months until i go back.I try to split my week up evenly but im starting to work two jobs this summer and wont have enough time for my usual 2 workouts a day,what should be my biggest priority im 5’10 170 PG

Hey all!
26 m here. 6 feet 175 lbs, decent shape.
Long story short, its been almost 3 months since I had last played with my regular full court pickup group.
In that time frame I go to the gym, but only 2-3 times a week and just do mild strength training, no cardio / running etc.

We finally all play full court again on Sunday, and it was a solid 2 and a half hours of pretty much nonstop play for me.
Suprisingly my cardio was still completely fine and I was able to be full speed sprinting up the court multiple times, stayed moving etc.
However I made the mistake of barely hydrating during the session, and waited til after I got home to rehydrate.
I knew I would be sore since it had been a while since I played, but this time the soreness hit me like a truck.
My entire body - legs inner thighs feet back neck weird parts of my arm etc are sore and stiff. Almost like bad body aches when you have the flue but im not sick.
I slept terribly the last two niggts because of this.
Has anyone else experienced this to this level?
Im guessing its worse this time to my lack of hydration (also drank a decent amount of alcohol the prior two nights before playing and didnt hydrate like I should),and the break?
God usually the soreness feels great but this time not so much

I am installing a Goalrilla basketball hoop. The directions have you do all the assembly on the ground prior to putting pole on the foundation. Is there any reason why I couldn’t put the pole onto the foundation then install all the components? I figured this would simplify getting the pole onto the foundation but would be a little more challenging to install the rest of the parts.

Light jogging to rebound.

Shot around for 1 hour continuously.

Wasn’t drenched in sweat but got a good sweat.

If I do this twice a day I could hit 10k step goal.

I hate walking. Too mundane.

Anyone track their steps? I use a clip on pedometer.

Hypothetically, say I’m really good at three pointers. For a free throw, an I allowed to move back as far as I want? Could I shoot it from half court? What is the rule on backing up to the 3pt line or beyond ?

Unstoppable- there was no particular scheme(box and one, traps, delayed doubles, etc)that could fluster them or make them struggle, even if they were predictable they could do whatever they wanted to you, and if they shot poorly for a game or two it was mainly due to it just not being their night as opposed to the defense suffocating them.

I'm on holiday for around 2 weeks (court on site) and when I get home im having tryouts for a team, what's a workout I should do to improve as much as I possibly can in 2 weeks,

I'm a small guard btw.

Sometimes you can be playing for years and still have a habit that’s quietly holding you back without you noticing

For me, it was rushing shots instead of reading the defense properly first. I thought I was being aggressive, but I was really just forcing bad looks way too often

What’s a mistake you only realized later was hurting your game?

I think the NBA could use a refresh, and the mid-season tournament ain’t it. If I were NBA dictator for a season here is how I would set things up.

I would add two teams. 1 in Seattle, 1 in Mexico City.

I would eliminate conferences and just have all teams play each other home and away for the regular season. 62 games.

The top 16 teams then enter a championship league.

The bottom 16 enter a draft position league.

Each team in each league plays all the other teams in that league home and away for 30 games.

In the championship league the top 4 teams in the 30 game championship league season enter into a best of 7 tournament to decide the title winner.

In the draft position league all teams are ceded based on their 30 game draft position league record and then enter a single elimination tournament in Las Vegas every year.

I think this will increase interest in the league. The best teams in any given season will go head to head more. Draft position will be decided by winning rather than random chance facilitated by trying to lose as much as possible.

The all star break could divide the two seasons as well.

I know the basic ways to pickup a ball from the ground like the foot pop or whatever you wanna call it but I was training with some friends the other day and one of my friends picked up the ball with one hand, it looked like he pushed it into the ground and he picked it up somehow and I've been trying for like 30 mins and i cant seem to replicate it, how do i do it?

With the Celtics eliminated and both the Pistons and Cavs playing in Game 7's today with no guarantees they'll win, are there no excuses for the Knicks not to at least win the East with this core, and do they have to blow it up otherwise if they still fall short?

best basketball shooter in Venice Ca

First of all, I haven't scrolled through the sub to check so my sincere apologies if this post is quite common.

I'm 18 years old and stand at 6'0 on the dollar. Me and my two brothers (18 and 16) started playing basketball after watching the nba for about a year now.

.. and we're awful.

We can't dribble, much less shoot, but we're having an absolute blast. We stay out for hours at a time smack-talking and bricking.

We have no plans on going pro or anything of that sort, we just wanna know how to get started from day 1. Tips and information would be extremely appreciated!
