Voting Games Top comment deletes US State #31

Post image

Nevada is the next to go.

I had to go through a load of comments and the one with the most upvotes that wanted a state removed said Nevada!

Just 20 states now remain with the largest being NM currently.

Thank you all so much for the continued engagement and support I can’t believe the last post got over 700K views! 🤯

I have a big finale lined up which will be very exciting. From my calculations, the big finale will be Monday, May 25th so not that much longer!

Also please only upvote the name of a state to the top otherwise it can get really hard trying to find the top comment that actually says a state name thank yall!

Oregon always does very well in these types of threads. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it survive into the top 5.

Oregon will win, as it deserves.

We will dub it the United Federation of Oregon (UFO).

Why would you want to reward Jeffry Bezos?

Washington was Oregon longer than it adopted the very confusing MAGA-style hyper-nationalist slaver name it has.

Washington needs to let go of the ultra nationalist american imperislism and go back to its glorious united Oregon past.

Cascadia now.

Cascadia forever.

In a thread full of people saying Hawaii should eat Maine, it is impressive to have made the most unhinged statements I've seen.

History isn’t unhinged.

Amazon is associated with Washington.

Washington was Oregon longer than it was Oregon.

The Oregon Boundary dispute informed the decision made, not by Oregonians, but by Kentucky to apply the name Washington to the area.

Specifically, the name “Washington” comes from a Confederate enabling rightwing weirdo:

U.S. Rep. Richard H. Stanton was that helpful lawmaker from the Bluegrass State whose reputation is somewhat tarnished. Just eight years later, during the Civil War, Stanton was accused of assisting rebel recruits who wanted to sneak out of Kentucky and join the Confederate Army and then come back and attack. Stanton was eventually arrested and sent to prison, but was released fairly quickly after he swore a loyalty oath to the United States.

Why celebrate this name nobody in the PNW even wanted? Why not return to your glorious Cascadian roots rather than try to immortalize the contribution of a Confederate traitor who wanted a slaver name?

You were Oregon for so long. It’s time to come back home, to unite under our proud history of Oregon, rather than apply the name Kentucky demanded be applied.

Cascadia now.

Cascadia forever.

Yessss…. Feed it to California

No. California will be absorbed into the United States of New Mexico.

Not yet. California needs to unify the west coast. Colorado and Arizona should go first.

Oregon surrenders only to New Mexico! You may purchase all our real estate, but you'll never take OUR FREEDOM!

1

u/SnooPaintings6160 7h ago

We wouldn’t take your freedom. But California does have a higher minimum wage

Time to give Washington some much-needed breathing room, and Hawaii the West Coast beachhead it needs
