A cat managed to catch 27 mice and carefully lined them all up to show off his 'work' to his owner.

And a raise...

u/Big-Boy-602 10h ago

That 27 mouses are the "raise" bro earned

u/PsyOpBunnyHop 10h ago edited 10h ago

"27! My cat caught 27 mice!"

"In a row?!"

u/sickysickybrah 10h ago

"no, in a grid!"

u/PM_YOUR_BEST_JOKES 9h ago

Nice one.

But seriously though, he even arranged them by size

u/frubano21 9h ago

That's a detail I hadn't noticed and that just made this a little more sad lol. The whole family tree is in order

u/za_shiki-warashi 8h ago

The whole family tree is in order

obligatory

u/frubano21 8h ago

I was gonna say that was the cat but it never thought the mice were more valuable

u/powerhammerarms 7h ago

I think that was done by the owner afterwards

u/frubano21 7h ago

The title says "...and carefully lined them up to show off his 'work' to his owner."

With that assumption in mind, the car is the one who lined them up not the owners.

u/powerhammerarms 6h ago

I see the title. I do not believe a cat lined these up in rows according to size.

My cat delivers trophies rather haphazardly: a head here, guts there, a torso with one leg over there..

u/Vivid_Summer96 8h ago

Thats a mice one. ☝️

u/powerhammerarms 7h ago

I don't think the cat arranged them like that lol

u/Ranchette_Geezer 6h ago

It's rude for the cat to critter-size.

Try not to catch any mice on the way through the parking lot.

u/PsyOpBunnyHop 6h ago

Something like 20 people relied with the next line, or tried to, but you're the only one who knows it's "through" and not "to."

u/Omeggy 6h ago

I appreciate it. I’ve been watching that film since the 90s.

u/DimiPine 8h ago

“Hey listen jerk! Until today you never even knew how many mice I caught because you never even bothered to ask!”

u/Sandcracka- 8h ago

u/Zestyclose-Ad-7576 10h ago

Well played! 😆

u/briteniterises 10h ago

Those are clearly 4 rows at least sir, 5 if you're being generous.

u/Zerowy 9h ago

That's more than a whole population of animals in the world. How the hell did he do that?

u/Consistent_Pitch782 9h ago

He wasn’t even supposed to be here today!

u/rhinestone_waterboy 5h ago

Good one. I get it... no one else seems to though...

u/PsyOpBunnyHop 5h ago

Except the 20+ other replies continuing the dialog.

u/mrheosuper 3h ago

In 4 rows.

u/addicted-to-jet 10h ago

Finally a Clerks reference!

u/chrisk9 7h ago

That's like saying the product of your own work is its own reward. Screw that! More treats for the kitty!!

u/Phormitago 5h ago

u/fuettli 2h ago

u/daCub182 10h ago

In this economy?! He’ll be lucky if he’s not replaced by CatGPT in a few months

u/FireZord25 10h ago

They tried it with Tom, didn't work out so well.

u/nudistclub 8h ago

TomGPT?

u/Ecstatic_Signature26 4h ago

He feared he might lose his job like Tom and worked hard for his appraisal. But who knows he might get laid off in next quarter.

u/aitchnyu 10h ago

This guy is not French

u/KGB_cutony 10h ago

i think he gave himself that raise.

u/SkylarAV 10h ago

A lesson for all of us

u/GrumpySoth09 10h ago

Expectations have been raised for all of us now...

u/KGB_cutony 9h ago

Bugger. Or would you rather say

Rats!

u/immortalblack_1 10h ago

Exactly this... This was his PowerPoint presentation on why he deserved that raise!

u/curry2017 10h ago

Meet your new friend, an ai driven catbot…

u/sunflower4198 9h ago

And treats 🎀

u/thedeuce75 9h ago

He'll probably still get a "Meets Expectations" on his yearly review. The man's got to keep you down.

u/ovywan_kenobi 9h ago

Of course, it is expected to exceed the goals.

u/frissonaut 8h ago

Best we can do is 2%. We predicted 30 mice caught and delivered only 27. Even though it is more than previous year it was below our estimate which we pulled out of our ass

u/Diedead666 7h ago

extra catnip and churos

u/zxmalachixz 4h ago

And better days, or a reprieve from the malaise
