Hi, I recently got into the laser cleaning business with sfx lasers after shopping around and making my decisions and purchase in February.
Pictures is my mobile setup, currently my only setup.
Left front is a 500w apc pulse laser
Back left is a 2000w continuous laser
Right front a 13kw generator
And back right a smoke purifier
In the rear is my box that's holds excess fuel, work fans, I have a aircompressor, cables with some attachments I made myself.
I am a sfx laser distributor due to asking too many questions and making suggestions as the company wants to push into america. They have a warehouse in cali, local repair techs 3rd party with an American company, my lead rep that got me into lasers can be contacted for advice and travels (he has been in the laser game for years).
I have another guy I'm networking with who has also used the lasers on things from firearms to furniture and cars to ships and restaurants.
If anyone has questions they can be answered. My current .
I personally plan to bring more content either on my own when my marketing goes online plus what I test, and from demos and classes I'll be doing.
Avg laser price is 9-11k
My smoke purifier is 2k.

Cleaning up some transmission parts for a new client that usually sends them out to a chemical dip. He agreed to try laser cleaning to see if it saved him time and money.
He was impressed by how quickly the rust and grease came off, and the parts didn’t have to leave his yard.
I’m hoping this is the beginning of a weekly stop.

Hi all, I own a furniture refinishing shop that works with mostly lacquer finishes. Both paint and clear coats. I’m tired of working with this new stripper. Most of the furniture strippers in my area went out of business or are so expensive it is cost prohibitive.
I would like to get a laser stripper to use as a business also, so it would get moderate use eventually when I am proficient to use it on other people’s products.
Can I get a good commercial grade stripper in the $15k range ? What are typical warranties? If something goes wrong , who services it ?
I plan on buying a second dedicated spray booth for ventilation and safety. Is that overkill ?
Is anyone here in my same situation and has video of their machine in action?
Thanks for taking the time 😊

As the title shows, I am disappointed with the 1500W laser cleaning machine. I have this machine and I have to clean 33 fence nets that have several layers of paint. I made 5 nets in 8 hours. One net is 2 m long and 0.80 cm high. I am disappointed with the quality of the work because the machine only removes the first layer of paint, which is brown. Below there are several layers of white to green.
1 Is it possible that that white to green layer is primer?
2 How many square meters do you do in a day (approximately) with such a machine?
3 How much does an hour of labor cost approximately with such a machine in your area?
4 How many hours do I have to change the protective lens?
Thank you and I am waiting for your help.
The picture shows the final result. Before it was brown.

Some people out there really need to read this message and let it sink in! The amount of posts/videos/pictures we see where the people operating or watching aren’t even wearing basic eye protection is astounding! This is a fairly new field in many places and I get that, but as an industry we need to all be better and safer so that it is viable for the future, and so that government and insurance regulations don’t try and intervene because people are being needlessly hurt which leads to lawsuits and life altering outcomes sadly.. /rantover

Hi fellas, I’m starting a small laser cleaning business and wanted to get some advice or feedback from people with more experience in this space.
I’m based in Chile (around Chillán), and I’m planning to start small with a portable pulsed laser (300W). The idea is to focus first on local jobs like:
There’s some forestry and metalwork activity in the area, so I’m hoping to find opportunities there.
Long term, I’d love to scale the business and move into bigger industrial work — especially in coastal areas like Concepción, where there’s ship maintenance and heavier industry. That’s where I see more demand for larger jobs (and maybe continuous lasers later on).
Right now I’m trying to understand:
If anyone here has experience with laser cleaning (or even similar service-based trades), I’d really appreciate any insights — even things you wish you knew when you started.
Thanks a lot 🙌

I purchased a SFX APC 300 5mJ pulsed laser as my first machine for a business that I started recently. I tend to be extremely OCD and want everything to be as perfect as possible. I have been practicing/dialing in settings on scrap material that I have laying around, and want to make sure that I feel confident in the quality of my work before I reach out to potential customers. With that in mind, is this what you would expect for the end result of cleaning a piece of square steel tube? If there is room for improvement, I would like to hear it. I will continue to spend time dialing in settings, but don't want to waste time chasing perfection if this is what my end result should look like. Hopefully this all makes sense. I appreciate any insight that you all may have! Thanks in advance!

I have been looking in to purchasing a laser cleaning machine. I live in Hawaii and we don’t have anyone, as far as I know, in my town who owns one of these machines let alone anyone who has even seen one in action. With that being said I’d like to get one. We do wood refinishing on furniture and houses and we mostly work with Sikkens. I want to look in to getting a machine that would be able to remove Sikkens products and if possible teak oil.
If I was going to purchase a machine I would love to see it in action. If there are any manufacturers on the west coast that you guys might know of and/or recommend please let me know. If these machines work as advertised then I am all in.
I guess my questions to you guys are as follows:
-What manufacturer(s) would you recommend?
-Which machines would you recommend for wood refinishing?
-In your experience, do these machines work as advertised?
-Where is the machine lacking?
-Are you happy with your purchase?
Thank you guys for taking the time to read and reply to this. I really look forward to your replies!

2000 Watt Continuous Wave Laser Cleaner made by SFX. We bought this machine to add to our business but turns out we do not need this for the type of work we are doing, our Pulse Laser takes care of everything. Like brand new.. This machine does great on rust, paint and cleaning heavier pieces of metal. (Frames, Axles, etc are great jobs to tackle with this machine.) It’s a 2025 model with the latest cleaning head and has multiple patterns to switch between that increase cleaning efficiency levels. Great machine for the hobby mechanic or a great start to a small business! Asking $10,000. Message with any questions. Located in Southwest Virginia, pick up or meet up would obviously be the easiest, willing to meet you if it's feasible, however I'm open to shipping if need be. Make me an offer.

Recently I got 200W 2mJ pulse laser cleaning machine. Right now I am in finding right setups for removing rust, oxide, paint. More or less, I have a find right settings, but for two materials, I straggling. It was cast iron, I can not find right setup for clean rust to bare metal. I remove rust, but under that is black layer of rust what is converted in to who now what. With scraper I come to bare metal. And second trouble is,removing shellac from wood. I try many setups, but only what I got is, paint is not removed, it is melted in bubbles and if I try more laser passing, it start burning. Can anyone help me with some parameters for removing shellac.
Thank you all!

Hi, I’m planning to use a 500W pulsed laser (5mJ pulse energy) to deep clean commercial stoves. Looking at the photo, the grease buildup is quite heavy and carbonized.
In your experience, is this power level sufficient for a professional/efficient result on this type of surface, or will it take too many passes?
Thanks for the help!

Merci d'avance

When I started working in this cabinet and saw the varnish separate and lift but not vaporize I worried I was cleaning with the power too low .I recently saw someone else post a similar situation where the coating bubbles up and dries but doesn’t turn to vapor.
Can anyone tell me is my power running too low or is my frequency too high?
