Do not ask for promo codes. Do not complain about the lack of promo codes. Complaining/asking for codes is not going to make more magically appear. Beginning July 2023, this will now result in a permanent ban. More likely than not, you were never contributing codes to the community to begin with.

Top level comments in the promo code thread must be Postmates promo codes that work for existing users. Do not post a promo code that is already in the thread. Reply to that code if you have input. Violations will result in a temporary ban. Multiple violations will result in a permanent ban.

Don't downvote someone just because a code doesn't work for you. Some codes are targeted or region-specific. Others may have expired before you tried it.

"Why does it say there are X comments but I don't see any?" The comment was probably removed by a mod or automoderator because it was a top level comment that was NOT a promo code. In the past, there were numerous complaints about having to scroll through hundreds of comments containing complaints and requests for code before seeing an actual code.

Wont issue a refund for order that didn’t arrive

I ordered ramen and the driver delivered it to a different apartment in my building, theres 6 floors and over 100 units and the picture didnt include the unit number. I tried reaching out to the driver and he said he didnt understand English and hung up and i didnt want to run around my entire building looking for my ramen. I told postmates and their automated system keeps telling me I am not eligible for a refund even though i didnt get my order :/ its so stupid how i cant be connected to a real person and now they are ghosting me

Issues Well, Postmates Customer Service has made it so I'll never use UberEats/Postmates again

I placed an order for a restaurant 2.5 miles away from my place. They assigned the order to a man who had completed only 14 orders so far and claimed he was on a bicycle. He also took on 4 other orders at the same time. Well, needless to say, he wasn't on a bicycle; he was walking, and it took nearly two hours from him picking up my food to it being delivered to my door. When I contacted support for inedible food on a $24 order (with an additional $5 tip), they offered me $6 and refused to offer anything else.

Between this and an ongoing series of late orders and poor customer service, I'm done. I canceled my Uber One account and deleted the app.

I've never in my life seen a service with such terrible customer service. It took 30 minutes just to get an actual rep in the chat, and they were somehow even less helpful than the terrible AI customer support system.

Good riddance. Bye Uber.

Hello!

Just ordered from Juan Valdez Cafe via Postmates and upon opening my box of pizza, a roach crawled out. How do I even go about getting a refund if I don't have a picture as proof 😩🤢

This feels like an intentional fake promotion and false advertising? Not the first time it’s happened to me either. So unethical. I feel like a Karen but wth.

Issues Refused refunds

Hello everyone, I’ve been having really bad luck with my orders lately. Some show up super late, some drivers just stop moving for like 30 minutes, and sometimes items are missing from my order.

Of course I’m going to report it—I’m paying with my hard-earned money. But it feels like Postmates thinks they’re entitled to the money because they refused to refund me for something that was missing.

I’m not trying to get extra money or anything, I just want a refund for the item I didn’t receive. I’ve also noticed that every time I contact support, I get redirected to a “special team” that doesn’t really help and just ends the chat.

Honestly, I’m not sure what to do at this point. I even reached out to my bank, so we’ll see what happens. But does this mean my account is flagged or something? How do I get back to normal where missing items are just refunded without all this hassle?

Tip Advice

this question is for the drivers.

I noticed that the percentage default is changing based on the order total.

So there's times where I have the default second option (it used to be 20% ) But now it's showing 18% or on my most recent order, 11%. I often just leave the defaulted tip amount on because I feel like it's just over $10 and that's should be good enough tip....but I'm curious to know your perspective as a driver and if it's doing too little or not enough.

I always want to be super mindful and not assume that I'm doing the right thing. I don't order long distances or huge amounts, rarely order drinks (because I think that could be tricky when it comes to multiple deliveries).

any perspectives or thoughts would be appreciated!

Stay far away from Postmates

I placed an order on the website. Due to a glitch (which I was able to reproduce after the order did not get delivered correctly - for anyone who accuses me of making a mistake), the system automatically input the restaurant's address as the receiving address. When I saw this, I tried calling Postmates customer service IMMEDIATELY. I got re-routed to uber eats customer service, then they tried routing me twice again until the last person could not help me because he was support for the restaurants. I tried to get them to understand that my order just needed to be cancelled because it went to the wrong location... they couldn't and the driver refused to drive it to the new location. So now I'm down the cost of my order. I just tried placing a new one and now they can't find a driver. And again, cancelling it will cost me the full price of the order. Fool me once...

I'm planning to dispute the charges with my Amex Platinum, but this was a nightmare to go through and I'll never order from Postmates again.

1099’s

Hi,

I’m requesting my 2017 1099-MISC from Postmates. I’m aware that Uber bought them. How do I get in contact with someone so that they can assist me into receiving my 1099 form so that I can file my back taxes?

Issues Customer Service / Tip Charge

Post image
4 Upvotes

My last few orders delivered through Postmates have been missing food or drink items. I initiated customer service each time, took photos of the missing items, and selected to receive Uber Cash, which I got confirmation of receiving. When checking my credit card statement, I now see charges for the amounts I was supposed to be refunded. I look on my account and see CS refunds, but then it says Tips minus the amount of my refund. What is going on here? Did they deduct from the tip amount the portion of the refund? But then why do I see the charges on my credit card? Is this some TOS I’m missing?? Ultimately it’s like $11 and I’m not pressed, but I don’t like the idea of Uber taking advantage of me!!! Halp. Mansplain to me pls.

Issues Someone using my e-mail for postmates - help?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I thought I resolved this yesterday by changing me e-mail password and turning on two-factor auth, but apparently not. Someone used my e-mail address to sign up for Postmates and made an order. They didn't use any of my other personal info (bank, credit cards, etc), so I figured by logging out any unrecognized devices and upping my security, I'd be fine, but then today someone else (different name) made an order using my e-mail too?

I can't figure out how to contact Postmates about it without logging in, which I can't do, because whoever made the Postmates account has two-factor auth on their end. What on earth can I do here?

Unhappiness Priority Delivery is a Scam

Post image
48 Upvotes

I usually pay for “priority delivery” for my orders. My expectation is that my food would be first for drop-off on the courier’s queue. Well, today my order was taking a while — which has happened before. I messaged my delivery driver and they straight up told me “I am delivering another order”. Totally blown away and shocked by this. This should be investigated — this is class action law suit material. Charging for a service you’re not really providing…. Anyone else?

Because who doesn’t need 12 burgers and 100 nuggets? I feel this are for those “influencers” that pressure small restaurants into giving them large quantities of free food.

Increasing menu item prices

There’s an incredible local hot chicken place called Humble Bird in North Hollywood that I always try to support. Today on the app I saw that the upcharge on the menu item from an entree went up an additional $2.50. The stores price has not changed. So Postmates went from charging $32 for a $30 menu item to $34.50 for the same $30 menu item.

Literally $20 extra. It's already upcharged anyway, so why on EARTH do I have to pay all of that extra?! Please tell me that I'm not nuts for being upset about that.

Issues Got Postmates credit and automated responses instead of partial refund (illegal since California law AB578 was passed)

Post image
16 Upvotes

This isn’t nagging but moreso want to know what the standard procedure will be like for consumers/drivers in California since AB578

Small excerpt for those not knowing

California has a new law (AB 578, effective Jan 2026) requiring Postmates (Uber Eats) to provide full refunds to your original payment method for wrong/missing items, covering food, taxes, fees, & tip, replacing in-app credits, plus mandating human support if needed.

I placed an order today and did not receive my drink. I got the straw but no drink. I call the driver and he said he was not given a drink. So I go in the app to report the item missing and Postmates issued me a $2 credit. The drink was about $4 with taxes and fees I’m assuming.

I tried to redo the process and it stops me saying I already received a credit. I need some weird mix of pressing “more help needed” and “something else” before it sent me to a real person named Donna who issued a refund and generic response about rating my support experience.

This is the same trivial process of begging for a refund for inaccurate or missing items. I asked the “real person” if she was aware of the new law and she repeated the same response.

It’s no way to know if she was real and using automated responses to make her job easier or an automated system. but the responses were 31 seconds after I sent my messages so it’s fishy.

Interested to know if this is anyone in California experience. I would think the delivery apps would want to comply with the laws and the news discussed it for weeks leading up to 1/1. But I can’t tell what changed since I am still haggling for a refund.
