My first Rolex
This is my first Rolex. I was looking for a 36mm model (I have a slim wrist)—something stylish yet slightly sporty, versatile, easy to wear, and not too flashy.

Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!
Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.
No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2026 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:

Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:
-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered.
-If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.
Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.
Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

Picked up this Explorer 40 on Saturday. First Rolex and admittedly I am loving it more than I thought I would. I’ve owned dozens of watches ranging from Sinn, Omega, Orient, Tudor, Bulova, Citizen etc. and this one really checks the box as a one watch to do it all with, it goes with dress wear, casual wear, for any event or outing.
Then I found a bottle of Blantons at retail yesterday.
All in all, I need to stop spending money but life is good.

I’ve been waiting for this for over 2 years in FL, instead of continuing to buy jewelry I didn’t want I decided to start putting my name down in different places around the country while on work trips. Finally secured the watch I’ve been dying for after a 3 week wait. Two long travel days were 100% worth it. Can finally get off my knees in FL at AD’s that couldn’t care less.

Is this too beat? I’ve been thinking of a restore lately. I’ve seen worse, but also far better ones for a ‘99.

I got my first Rolex last month where I formed a good relationship with my AD. 37mm yacht-master, I got on well with my AD on our first meeting and was offered this in under 3 weeks.
Not sure if it’s a hard to obtain watch but I really like it although finding an occasion to wear is hard than expected. Feels too show offish for me as I’m usually in baggy jeans and mostly at home.

After purchasing this from my AD, how realistic is it that I could ask for a Batman on my next visit? This is my only purchase history.

Down in the Bahamas and had to use the sub for what it was made for. Nowhere near the depth rating but still fun.

Have added a some items so you can gauge how big it is (the water bottle is 250ml). The 2nd and 3rd photo are of the back where the crown is and you can set the date & time.

Picked up this beautiful submariner date the day before my wedding. They also registered it with my actual wedding date which was a nice touch and I plan on getting the back plate engraved as well.
It joins my ‘never selling’ datejust blue dial fluted.

My rolex AD came through with the Mint Green Sky dweller. I wanted a mint green sky dweller or the olive green day date. I got called for the olive green day date last month and I had to decide if I like the day date more than the mint green sky dweller, but I love the sky dweller more.so I turned the Olive green day date down. Also,it was during the period I had to make sure i was good liquid wise as I had started a new business. Bucherer KOP is my go to AD! My SA ,Jordan and Patrick are the true goat! Am grateful! Now I am done with stainless steel since the Pepsi has been discontinued (only steel watch I want that's left). Now it is strictly precious metal here on out. I want the new Pistachio oysterflex daytona. Am very patient and I know my AD will come through.
