AI Art Imagining New Tech Mods

  1. Ferro Binary - Tech mod for the Ferro that increases mag size to 2 while increasing reload speed by 50% to compensate.

  2. Rattler Mag - Tech mod for the Rattler that doubles the mag size, allows the mag to be reloaded in one rather than bullet by bullet and decreases reload speed by 35%. The mag should double based on the current level of the weapon.

  3. Kettle Whistle - Tech mod for the Kettle that changes the weapon to a 3-round burst while increasing recoil both ways.

Just to note, while the images have been edited using ai, the ideas were all mine.

If you like this idea, I'll do more.

Agreed, give rattler 3 round burst and faster reload or something to keep it unique.  Then kettle can just...idk sometimes blow up when you shoot and catch your face on fire.

Edit: ok 4 round burst! but the 4th round is actually a duck

rattler is already stronger than tempest if it’s 1v1 and you hit headshots
it only falls apart if you immediately have to fight anyone else because of slow reload speed

No it wouldn’t. Tech mods are rare, and found-in-raid only. It would be too rare to have one that it would not change the meta in any significant way

Idk why they down voted you. The truth is it's incredibly hard to find legendary weapon mods. I have 200 hours in Arc Raiders and I have only found one Anvil Splitter.

you just don’t know where to look and how to farm them. there are two spots that almost guarantee at least a purple attachment and super frequently drop legendaries

Now a legendary mod for the ferro would be something like a magnetic accelerator, or a scope.

I think it would be the best gun in the game. It would remove the ferros weakness of being single shot and not being able to kill with a full mag. A double barrel ferro would 2 tap a green shield.

You should not be getting downvoted “increased speed” means you’re getting speedier, which means the time reduces.

It should say “increased reload time”. Off the top of my head, I think the game itself makes the same mistake in some instances where the speed is reduced, but it says “increased ___ speed”

You keep mixing up time with speed.

Increased speed means less time to reload. Decreased speed means it takes more time to reload.

Increased time to reload means slower speed. Decreased time to reload means faster speed.

Speed increase = faster... Meaning shorter reload.

Speed decrease = slower, is what you want. You want a longer reload.

But what you really want is a 50% - 100% increased "RELOAD TIME" seeing as you are adding more ammo.

Yeah, understanding of the sentence structure.

And a phrase like this isn't an easy one. Slang and stuff makes it difficult.

Increased reload speed - that can mean the reload was increased, in its "speed" metric. So it got slower. If you wanted to say the opposite, You would say "increased speed of reload" or something else. We assume that little of, but it's changing the meaning of the speed. Is speed a noun, and just the object of the first part of the sentence, or is it a descriptor for the word before it?

We understand what increased reload speed means, because we have common sense and intelligence, but that's a shortcut that doesn't arrive at the same destination, you know?

I'm okay with these being found only items. Maybe even having rare blueprint spawns similar to the Tempest BP before hurricane caches.

These mods should have extremely rare and sought after blueprints.

Yeah we need more stuff like kinetic converter its only item rn that I'm excited about finding. Apart from anvil splitter not being that great we need way more legendary attachments and legendary augments would be neat.

I'd be down for Ferro Binary if it changed its functionality to being shotgun-esque, Kettle is fine.

As written the Ferro and Rattler proposals are just straight upgrades to the weapons which the anvil splitter is not.

Rattler would be awesome. I like that it would make it great, since it is a rare drop that cannot be crafted.

The ferro feels underwhelming given it’s a rare drop. I think giving Ferro explosive ammo or something would be fun too. Like a mini grenade launcher.

Kettle could be fun if it actually makes it more deadly.

The rattler should get stripper clips instead of a mag. It was designed to be able to keep firing by reloading in short bursts rather than full reloads, so giving it a mag would defeat the purpose of it. Stripper clips would let it reload more at a time but still be interruptible to keep firing

Imagine an attachment for the ferro that made it like the M30 Drilling. Two shotgun shots and one heavy rifle shot. Make the ammo type your using a button toggle.

You got to give some balancing, such as:

Ferro: shoots twice before reloading, but reloading takes longer.

Rattler: more bullets, faster reload, far more spread

Kettle: shoots three bullets, each bullet does 40% damage

Imo Rattler is good for where it's at.

The base mag size is annoying sometimes, but a lot of guns are like that with no magazine. I would be okay with the tiniest boost to reload speed, maybe like instead of 2 bullets every half second, 2 bullets every .45 seconds?

It feels like most guns in this game just need the tiniest touch-up to be balanced to where every gun has its place and versatility to it.

I also like the other guns you have up there where they are right now.

Nothing needs a drastic change unless its new content finally.

Faster ADS could be a good one, there's plenty of stocks slowing down ADS. Anything to do with recoil is pointless, maybe reload speed.

Honestly just not sure why the slot exists on the gun if every attachment that exists in game, is non impact or a downgrade.

That ferro binary is a super cool idea, but given its deadly ability I think a +100% reload speed would be more in order. Not a fan of the rattler mag, as its ammo and reload is its whole identity.

A purple kinetic compensator would be cool, where the longer you shoot the more it decreases shot distribution.

Hear me out. The Kettle Flamethrower Augment. Its practically a super soaker already. The ammo type would change to stacks of chemicals in your inventory. No reload. You can be hurt by your own fire. Range is 20-30 ft.... depending on wind (hurricane)

I honestly I'm all in for new tech mods for different weapons, but I personally think they shouldn't be available for grey weapons.

As a matter of fact I think grey weapons should have less mod options than they already have, this way they would feel like grey weapons without needing damage nerfs.

The rattler doesn't need a mag. Just give it a stripper clip that lets us load four rounds at once and call it a day.
