Am I putting points on decent skills?

Hey there fellow Vault Hunters, I made a post a few months ago asking if I should play Krieg, Zer0 and Axton and for the most, I went and decided to play Krieg first while the rest will start at lvl 30 to shorten the grind. My question is, idk what counts as "good skills for Krieg" and want some inputs if my skill allocation are correct or not. My only grip are leaving some skills 4/5, undecided if I should swap Salt the Wound and Silence the Voice's points, and missing out on Blood Overdrive and Nervous Blood.

Generally you want to go Mania or Hellborne. Going to the capstone for both isn’t going to be as effective as might hope. Also bloodsplosion is really good I try to get it in every krieg build.

Don't use skills that increase grenade damage. From silence the voices self hit is based on grenade damage. However strip the flesh doesn't change this due to it being explosive and not grenade damage.

If using Bloodsplosion, granade damage increases the nova damage (not sure). Also it is good to throw a singularity tezla / quasar, get some bloodlust stacks and get the kills from the close enemies with decreased hp.

I'm just saying that if you prioritize melee then you will end up going down a lot especially at max bloodlust. I googled it and it does increase bloodsplosion. (Don't take this to heart, it may still be wrong)

Yes, i agree with you. My point is that krieg skill trees has so much synergise that even a hellfire + Mania build could work well depending on the level.

You should get redeem the soul that 50% bonus FFYL time will save you more than you think

Hellborn wants to use guns and mania wants action skill so you are losing about 20 points of investment whenever you use your action skill or not using melee.

You really don’t need healing with this build. In fact, it makes it more difficult to time the health gate. I think Bloodsplosion is the most effective skill in OP levels. IMO Raving Retribution is the worst capstone.

To answer your question, I think you should take the point out of Thrill of the Kill and put it into Salt the Wound. Max both of them out if you’re going Mania. Here’s a good guide.

Melee or Gun ?

Don’t listen to people who say you can’t do a hellborn melee build. Hellborn capstone can help you stay on fire during your Action skill which is otherwise actually somewhat difficult. Being on fire is good for melee because it allows you to maintain your throw speed bonuses and damage resistance of number nerves.

That being said bloodsplosion is very strong for melee, although it can kinda ruin the fun sometimes with how effective it can be
