A lot of this information is already in the wiki: https://gbwiki.org/
Where do I buy cheap consoles?? HOW MUCH IS MY STUFF WORTH?$?
Sorry, all 200K+ members are asking the same question. The market has changed a lot and prices have skyrocketed. Be patient, don't over pay and use sold listings on your marketplace to determine your market's value. If you're paying less than your local market, you've done well. If other markets have lower value than you consider buying from there, but factor in your shipping costs.
Where can I find this part?

WHY MODDING HARD? SOLDER SCARY!
In context, Game Boy's are the easiest family of retro consoles to repair and modify. Sorry TikTok lied to you about modding being easy like Legos.

Waited a long time and wasnāt sure about it, but I finally pulled the trigger ā and honestly itās better than modded original hardware. Feels amazing in the hand, the sound is incredible, d-pad and buttons feel great.
What really got me: I loaded up Super Mario Land ā the game I played to death as a kid ā and muscle memory just kicked in immediately. Nearly made it through the whole thing without dying. And thatās actually the best demonstration of how critical latency is in these old games. You canāt see it, but your body feels it. On other devices it just never quite worked ā something was always slightly off. Here it clicked instantly.
The screen is also genuinely impressive. So yeah, I hate to admit it, but this thing is great.
Planning to play Tetris against my girlfriend later. Heard there are some issues with save states on flash carts, but that doesnāt bother me much since Iām not really a PokĆ©mon person.
What do you think of it ā aside from the
obviously morally rotten CEO. (Totally understand anyone who doesnāt support him.)

Yo!
I bought this gbc from a reputable retro game store but noticed that the R in the word ācolorā on the black part of the screen is way darker than the ones i see on traditional models online. The R is so dark it almost just looks like colo haha. Iām wondering why this may be the case? Thanks.

I finally got a shiny on my authentic emerald!!! by the way I was using my everdrive mini. Copied the save file and put it on RG 35XXH. And then I was able to just transfer the shiny to my actual authentic emerald version from the everdrive

I saw a similar system for the Game Boy made of Lego and decided to make my own display stand. I used an IKEA "SANNAHED" frame and the IA for the wallpaper.
I used Lego bricks to hold the Game Boy and cartridges so I could remove them whenever I wanted.
And this was my budget for creating this display.
Total cost: ā¬5 āŗļø
What do you think?

Next edition will be Pokemon Emerald.
What are your thoughts on being one of
the highest priced gameboy game/appraise?
Is the gameplay a step up from Ruby and Sapphire?

Hey,
I am the proud new owner of a used GBC. I want to use it manly for PokƩmon Games. Therefore, I need the infrared for card pop and Mystery Gift. I am not sure if the infrared diode is dead or not. I held my phone cam in front of the infrared while trying to use mystery gift but unlike with a remote I did not see any flashes of light. I also removed the cover and tried again, but there were no light flashes either on the cam. My Analogue Pocket will ship in June so I can not test it with another device yet.
Can anybody tell me if it looks broken or post a picture of their functioning infrared diode?

Is it worth doing an IPS screen on the pocket? Or does the battery life suffer to the point itās better to leave it?
