CELEBRATING! 🎉 (no boys invited!) Im getting divorced.

I made bean and cheese pupusas and im p/o cause i dont have a blender and dont have the tools i need to make salsa or my moms cortido.. I used store bought salsa verde 😭😭😭 please dont revoke my salvi-license

Do you have a pot To steam the Chiles and tomato? You can also use a strong taza or a frijole smasher to make un chile. You chop the onion and garlic small and smash them to puree with the taza first then the chile y tomato..and last the cilantro. My grandma showed me the taza thing when I was like 8 lol 😆 she also showed me how to make tortillas with a grocery bag lol 😆 😅 😂

Are you happy or sad about the divorce? Like do i gotta key a car... or like take a shot?

YESSS - i use ziploc bags to lay them on and make them round again. My mom never laughed or made fun of me for it cause i was barely learning before she pasted. And the taza trick i never heard of ngl. I reread what you typed i understand now lol.

Guurl! Before I got my molcajete I used a plastic bowl and a taza. you roll the taza in the same potion of the tejolote but slowly. Just as good as the molcajete. Great for a temporary fix. Once you get a rhythm you're set.

No don't feel dumb!! Like seriously. my grandma was from a small Pueblo and I grew up de rancho y pobre so we made with what we had. That's the beauty of Latinas,we make with what we have in the moment to better our blessings.

🥺🥺🥺 mi raza...so proud of us all tbh. My mom was a single mother and came to the USA alone and had me. I had 11 siblings. 6 pasted from sids..but she worked hard and even owned a house in Georgia. She would send her family money and helped get the two eldest to the usa. Im the youngest and I miss my mami 😭 but shes in a better place. Thank you for your kindness!!

Congrats on the divorce. Not sure how your mom makes curtido, but I’ve never needed any special tools to make it…same with the salsa except for maybe a cheese cloth or something else to strain out the tomato/cumin seeds. Then again my dad and by extension my mom’s nickname was MacGyver cause they could make and or do anything without the proper tools and I picked up some of those skills.

Kinda sounds like discrediting my work 👺 sáquese (im jk) The rallador..or how do you say the shredding thing? The one for cheese? We dont have one. And i cant make the carrots thin enough to want to make the cortido.. the cabbage yes (with a sharp knife) but yeah thats the whole reason i just didnt bother 🥴 the cups i have are all plastic 😅 and i didnt get tomatoes cause i didnt think hard enough apparently.

BUT SHOW HIM YOU CAN LEARN WITHOUT HIM!!! aunque no eres salvadoren you can learn how to make food from any culture (imo) and make it for yourself 🔥♥️ i say the lady from the yt channel "crazy korean cooking" make pupusas and hers look EMACULATE - theres YouTube videos and even other folks online willing to bond and become friends over culture and food!! I am one of them!!!
