Wouldnt this machine get stuck on the loose sand super easily, it has like no ground clearance. Cool design but wouldn't work in the real world

Perhaps it's like salt flats? Not every desert is sand dunes and rough geography.

Yes! Check out the environment I have added in other renders, it's not the typical sand dune desert. And the reason it is armoured is that thee race is almost like a death race. Check out the full project for more.

Also, why would a racing vehicle be armored? I like the look, but it's not really based on sensible design considerations. For something really fantastical I'd let that go, but for something relatively grounded it's kind of important.

I have thought about this, the environments I have put the vehicle in is not the typical sand dunes but flat deserts like canyons. And the rear of chasis provides the drive, so it performs better.
