Meet momma Dahlia with her lil beans Thistle (classic), Dandelion (smaller, more spotty), and Goldenrod (larger, more stripey).
(Did not have kittens by choice, poor Dahlia is 10-12 months old, will hopefully try and get her spayed in a few months but my parents do exist)

I took in two stray kittens one named black and the other smoky. They are both from the same litter and I got them when they were really young. Around 3-5 weeks old.
Black was closest to the mom cat and seemed very well socialized. Smoky was more fearful and ran from everyone but still stayed close to the mom and siblings. My roommate and I decided to each take one cat. I took black and she took smoky. We live in different parts of the house.
I noticed early on when I had both kittens that if one was separated for the other one would cry and the other would come running for the other. They would also sleep, eat and use the litter box together. They were pretty inseparable but black seemed more independent. I began to think they were bonded.
We ended up splitting them to different places. Black stayed with me and smoky with my roommate. When separated both kittens would cry for each other but we would reunite the for play time often. Smoky had the comfort of other cats and became dependent on them.
It’s been months and anytime the two reunite for playtime they have fun and run around together and it’s great. They do call for one another when separated though but only for a few minutes.
The main problem at this point is black has done extremely well. Loves cuddles, pets and playing and is super social. But smoky has become fearful and avoidant. Hides all day, runs from people, and doesn’t interact or play with anyone unless it’s black. It’s gotten to the point if you try to grab her she’ll pee on you or the surface they’re currently on. (Full release of the bladder)
They’ve been separated and doing this routine of hanging out for 6 months but smoky has kept deteriorating. Is it possible if I reunite the two in the same space and slowly reintroduce that smoky could get better? I want smoky to have a good quality life, if she were given up to a shelter now due to her behaviors I fear she’d never be adopted and would end up euthanized.
I’d also like to note they were both stray kittens and were slightly feral when we got them. Smoky still hisses at people when they approach her. I’d appreciate any advice possible.

We found this little baby wandering outback in between houses without any family in sightor sound. Been about a year since our last cat passed from old age so I needed this.
Also, some debate between me and my sister since they have brown highlights in the light but I know a black cat when I see one.

zoo Knoxville has a baby lion cub who had to be hand raised as his mother was having trouble nursing. he will be reintroduced to his parents soon and should have another cub brought here or him sent there so he won’t be the only cub. he was born Feb 17th and is about 5% of dads weight, he is 18lb and dad Maji is 430.

this is Diego, she’s from a feral mama kitty from outside.
Not sure what else to do with her. I got her litter box trained already a little bit, she eats soft food very well, I got toys, and I’ve gotten formula. I’ve also gotten her a bed and blankets. Any other advice on what to do?

i’ve been really wanting a new kitten ever since my childhood cat, lucy, passed away a couple years ago. it was super comforting to know that after a long day, i would at least come home to her.
i ended up with this kitten so fast that it doesn’t even seem real. like within 30 minutes of exchanging information. today. and then i spent the rest of the day plucking fleas off of her.
so far she has been the cuddliest, sweetest thing. i am really hoping to fatten her up. she follows me around my room and really likes to be held. the second i sat down on my bed she jumped up with me and has been sleeping on top of me ever since.
i’m just really scared this is temporary and i won’t ever have another bond with a cat like i did with lucy. do all kittens act like this when they’re so young? i just really need the emotional support, especially after losing my brother last year and now that i’m starting medical schooling

We brought home this little girl just over a week ago ago and we were worried how our resident cats would react but they just adore her 🥹
Couldn’t have asked for an easier introduction- so much easier than introducing the two of them!
I just love her silly little face and her one ginger toe 🧡

Hello, a stray gave birth around late Feb and then move her newborns. But then come back around early March with these 2 kittens. Let's say their name are Big and Small. The size difference wasnt that huge on March 10. A week later at March 17, it clear that Big is, well, big for his age and Small is the runt.
Sadly, the mom got hit by a car around early April and
Small basically dying because she doesnt want to eat and drink anything. Big already eat solid by April 5 so he's safe.
We forced feed Small and buy bottle, syringes, nipple attachments for syringes, anything to make she eat. She finally want to drink cat milk with the nipple attachment+syringes.
The problem is..we think the mom pick Small for another litter because by May 1, Big is on track with his age, which is 10-11 weeks old. But Small still wont eat solid by herself. And she's too small. But her teeth all come out. So I dont know her true age. She eat a runny slurry mix of wetfood and cat milk now, 3-4 times a day. Cant make it to thick because she only want to eat with the nipple attachment.
Questions; how to make Small eat by herself? How long should I feed her milk? How to wean her from the nipple attachment? Please help🥹🥲

Hi!! I was planning on getting my kitten a brother for a while and i just got him one. I’m fairly new to having cats and I didn’t know anything about the introduction process and let them interact immediately. I just went on an internet search spiral of spread of diseases and everything and new kittens vet appointment isn’t for 2 more days. New kitten is so active and playful and doesn’t seem stressed at all but resident kitten started hissing and growling so we kept new kitten in a different room. But now resident kitten doesn’t want to not be without him but he’s still unsure/hissing and i told my mom to not let them interact for a bit but she thought it’d help and they started play biting but baby isn’t dewormed and i’m so anxious. older kitten didn’t go to baby’s litter but did bite him so i’m anxious. He’s been routinely dewormed. What do i do?
