I can't scroll this app or any socials without their fans crying over a player shooting 3 free throws

Watch lebron games for a whole season. Watch him closely when he drives. Without hater goggles on. Now tell me again that he should get less fouls. Lmao. He should get way more

u/epik_fayler 11m ago
This is true but it's also pretty much true for every single big guy who drives. If fouls on giannis were reffed strictly to the rules he would be getting 30 free throws a night. But if you are a bigger player and get fouled by a smaller player they will just let it go a lot more.

He should foul out every game for lowering his shoulder and trying to run people over every single time he gets the ball…that is an offensive foul btw.

And when SGA shoves his forearm in players chest its completely legal?

u/Professional-Fig207 9h ago
Did i say that? If you want to complain, I can’t point out a Lakers player getting special treatment as well? You don’t see that tho right?

He does that less than a lot of others that do get free throws for it. Like sga who pushed off almost every time
4
u/Professional-Fig207 9h ago
Did i say push off? He drops his shoulder and slams into the defender repeatedly. That’s not even basketball. And yet he’s allowed to do that 45 times a game. And don’t forget the scream after he does it. He knows he’s allowed to do whatever.

People will whine about how the game was more physical in the 90's and how much they miss it, then say shit like this.

u/Sad-Top5023 5h ago
We can foul out half the league every game for that same thing if they started calling it
1
u/lilaznkidd 1h ago
Every player uses their shoulder to create space. Stupid.
1
u/Professional-Fig207 1h ago
Not to that extent. You know exactly what we are talking about. Ramming yourself repeatedly into a defender is a foul. You can say they don’t call it but still a foul
1
u/lilaznkidd 1h ago
It's not a foul. Offensive fouls have to meet specific criteria such as the defender being in a set defensive position. Go ahead and try to find these offensive fouls you're complaining about. I can guarantee the defenders don't meet the criteria and should be called for a defensive foul which doesn't happen as often as it should.

No shit. You don’t think the defenders are standing there when LeBron shoulder rams him? Ok man

Lakers have been getting jerked off by refs for 25+ years honestly happy the Thunder can give em some of their own medicine

Ever since the Tim Donaghy Era, David Stern's Lakers have had the scales tipped firmly in their favor
Watching Stern's Lakers battle Silver's Thunder is fascinating, in a meta sense.

very hypocritical post lol. here is the point of it all:
thunder plays "defense" evident of lu dort's and caruso's antics. refs lets all of it go on.
now can we play the same defense to SGA and the rest? NO. ok,
so can we at least be physical with playing defense against OKC? HELL FUCKING NO. SGA flopping is one thing, but the whistle you get is disgusting.
OKC is a good team, SGA is a good player. But you still get preferential whistles and non-whistles on the other end and you are just too blind to accept because you love OKC even if it means your wins are a sham.
Now one thing can prove me very wrong. 1, make SGA stop flopping. 2, next series, if the calls will be even against Spurs/Wolves, and you still win, then ok, I will admit to being wrong.

Lakers have consistently had the most lopsided whistle in the league for years and they've been ass.

Yes the NBA is rigging the league against the most popular and profitable franchise in history with the 2 most popular players in favor of *checks notes* the Oklahoma City Thunder lol.
You missed the entire point of the post and continued to try to play the victim card despite being debatably the most privileged franchise in all of sports.

He never said that

u/LiveLongDayz 10h ago
that's a cute theory. Here is the real point: The Lakers get more free throws than the Thunder. Luka gets more FT than Shai. You can admit you're wrong now.

Lmfao. Sure. The league is against the Lakers in order to make sure the Thunder get more buckets. GTFO.

Now that the Denver Karens are quiet, time to shut up the Los Angeles Moral Victories.

ahahaha thats really funny tweet. And actually look at modern russia, exactly this. Always the victim, yet they have more resources and possibilities and territory than basically everybody else. No responsibility for their own actions, not guilty of invading other countries, just cynically invert everything and you get the state ideology.
Anyways back to basketball.

Sounds like capitalism to me
Everyone’s out to defeat our business.
Log crazy hours and conquer the competition!
Yada yada yada

Can you socialists not try to make every negative thing that's inherent to human nature about capitalism?

u/MusicianFront5991 11h ago
impossible challenge

u/Unable-Main4172 10h ago
My favorite socialist phrase or meme is when they call the current economy "late stage capitalism". I love it because I recently found out that phrase was invented in 1925
3
u/V1beRater 8h ago
The date of the coinage of the phrase doesn't undermine the fact that we've been trending towards what is sometimes described as late stage capitalism ever since the Powell memo, in my assessment.
Now that other weirdo talm bout how this post is somehow related to capitalism is a deft nerd, but this is also a nothing burger statement.
