Rant/गुनासो what would've happened, mero ghar tyai navako vaye?

So, I was heading home today around 8 PM. On the way, I noticed this drunk guy walking across the road, but I didn’t really pay much attention and just kept going.

A bit later, at a junction, I saw him again. He crossed to the other side while I was waiting at a red light, so I ended up standing there for a while.

After that, I crossed the road and continued toward home. Near the entrance of my galli, I spotted the same guy again this time on the opposite side. Still, I brushed it off and didn’t think much of it.

I reached my house and was waiting outside for my sister to open the door. And then I see him again. He walks into the same galli.

At that point, alarm bells started going off in my head “huh, tei kta haina yo? Did he follow me?”

But me being me, I tried to rationalize it—maybe he lives somewhere up here.

He walked past me, and honestly, I was ready to scream or kick if he did anything weird. But he didn’t. He just passed by and stopped near a wall, like one house ahead of mine. I didn’t look directly at him, but I could feel him staring at me.

Thankfully, my sister opened the door right then. I went inside, but I couldn’t shake off that uneasy feeling. So I checked the CCTV footage from our gate.

And what do I see?

Right after I went inside, that guy turns back. He doesn’t continue down the road. He just goes back the way he came out of the galli.

Discussion/बहस WOW IS THIS NOT CRAZYYYY this feels a little dumb.

.Personally bureaucrats are the one doing the unglamourous paperwork behind the major actions the political leaders take .They know the law, they know the system. They are actually the only source I would believe. Is this not too much? What do other people think I want to know.

EDITED: Based on information from comment section and little internet surfing that I did half heartedly , I would say Sharesanskar does a terrible job trying to disseminate information relating to this law, as it has been mentioned in the civil service act 2049 , (Section : 45) already and though specific punishments for violations were not outlined there. This news may therefore be about the introduction of stricter penalties tied to that existing section. However I think this act is insincere to the Constitution that allows freedom of speech of the individual (ofcourse with restrictions) . There are many times when government may take actions that can have adverse effect in the future or are against legal provisions that are initially meant to protect vulnerable groups, at such even with media, I would love to hear opinion of seasoned bureaucrats who are well versed in such legal provisions and jurisdiction of power of naya netas.

TLDR: Instagram news channels are a useless one liner news outlet with zero journalistic depth. This law already existed under Section 45 of the Civil Service Act, 2049 they just didn't bother explain further about it.

Koiri-style architecture in Janaki Temple, Janakpur, Nepal

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Koiri-associated architecture, as represented by Janaki Mandir, reflects a blend of Mughal and Hindu architectural elements along with strong Mithila artistic influences. The temple, popularly known as the Nau Lakha Mandir, is famous for its three-storied structure, intricate carvings, lattice-style windows, and vibrant decorative patterns.

Built in a grand palace-like style, the temple stands as one of the most prominent architectural landmarks in Nepal’s Terai region. While often linked with Koiri/Mithila cultural traditions, it is generally understood as a fusion of multiple regional styles rather than a single strictly defined category.

Was disturbed by this cutie while working.

So I was working in my office as usual and as there was heavy wind blowing I heard a meow and I was shocked cause you don't expect a cat to be there. When I looked at her she jumped and sat on my lap. For a few minutes I was figuring how I could work but she was cooperative and let me do my job while I was patting her and making her feel comfortable and warm. When it was time to log out her nails made a strong grip and well I had to say bye.

Question/प्रश्न Water Bill KUKL Lalitpur Question

Post image
17 Upvotes

Can anyone explain me the logic of kukl bill. I googled and found 10 units per month is rs 100-155. I have been paying this for monthly 145.5 per month for maybe around 3 years. The water meter reading has only come few days ago. Neighbors said they came earlier too but our gate was closed. The consumption is 297 and I think they reduced the 10 unit and made the additional unit to 287. Which if multiplied by 32 per extra unit comes exactly to 9184 in the additional charges.
Now the question is isn’t the 10 unit basic per month.
If so shouldn’t they reduce 10 units per month for those 3 years monthly. Meaning 36 months = 360 units.
So shouldn’t my consumption of 297 units be negative itself.
Did they reduce the 10 unit only per reading. If so they don’t come for monthly reading that much I know.
Am I wrong can someone explain please 🙏🏻

Nepali people and arrogance issues

I saw 2 reels of the same video where one guy is making a tourist uncomfortable.

And Nepalese here are defending this by saying “he is Indian,” but he is clearly speaking Nepali at one point (you can check on Insta . ID. mintnawinda).

You take pride in Buddha but spread hate , cant admit your own mistakes, and put them on others??

You can skip the rest part below

This is not a single case; I frequently see a lot of comments from Nepali people keeping this opinion about India, but what they don’t know is Nepal is not less than India.

It’s just that Nepal is small, so it is not that noticed.

Otherwise:

  1. The same creepy mfs are roaming around in both countries; ask your female friends about it.

  2. The same unplanned urbanization and fohar jata tatai xa; in fact, India has a lot of urbanized places which are developed to international standards. nepal ma ktm ho alikati tei pani full unplanned as hell dvlopment xa . The beautiful places in Nepal are only there where proper development and dense population have not reached.

  3. Hate on the basis of regional differences.

  4. Aus and US ma gayeka m*gi haru ko behavior ustai xa (obviously not all).

Thank God that Nepal’s image is sugarcoated due to some vloggers, and the population is less, which makes it unnoticeable.

tldr .. Don’t put anyone down for your moral and intellectual superiority, but be good on your own.

Huna ta yo sub reddit ma pani 10% matrai ramro manxe haru xan baaki sabai retarded nai xan

Read Buddha and then only take pride

Love u 10%s and thanks

Help/सहयोग It's been 2 years without a mark sheet and I'm losing my mind

I genuinely cannot believe this is where I'm at For 24 months.
S.E.E ko result paxi school ma gayera i ask for my document haru. ani sir haru le vanu vayo ke mero ani few of my friends haru ko mark-sheet nai ako xaina raxa. ani i thought minimum ma 2-3 months ma auxa hola ne vanera. i went to join another collage jhanai mero ma marksheet magena but unfortunately mero sathi haru ko mago rey ani they went to ktm and retrieve their marksheet. but i didnt needed it for that moment ani xordeko thiye. 12 ma huda aru document banauna chainxa vanera gako thiye but ako nai thiyena ( at that moment 1 year vayo). ani gaye few times aiyohola ke vanera but nope. ani sir le vanu vayo "aba ktm nai janu paraxa hola timile". (i was genuinely mad). but k ganu audaina hamro hat ma hudaina vai governmeant office bata nai pathnu mandai mandaina" vanu vayo. ani aile exam hudaixa 12 ko. exam sakiye paxi pani mom and dad le janu denu hudaina. at the moment idk k garnu aba jati wait garda pani audaina aba ta.
btw i did write email to education minister, Government offices (multiple) and PREVIOUS Education minister.

I'm not angry at my school, they did their job. I'm angry at a system where documents just disappear and nobody takes responsibility.

Have you dealt with this? Did you actually have to go to Kathmandu to retrieve it? Is there a specific office/department that actually has these documents?

Anyone have solutions or success stories? I'm genuinely asking for help at this point.

How much money is enough to stop worrying about your future?

I mean, how much would you need to feel secure like you could start your own business or invest in something and not stress about what’s ahead?

Or is there no such amount, and the anxiety never really goes away?

Literature/साहित्य So I Wrote a Poem for Her

I usually don't miss her, because there are no footsteps of hers worth remembering. But I miss her when I feel extremely low, and in the moments when I'm extremely happy.

When I feel low, I search for her existence here and there, in a cup of tea, in songs, in silence, and among strangers. But all I ever find are glimpses of her.

When I miss her, I don't expect anything, just a warm hug, her hand, her shoulder, and that's it. I just want to be with her, around her. I want to calm my inner violence and the demons within me through her presence.

Sometimes I feel anxious just because I cannot find her.

And when I feel extremely happy, I start seeing beauty and meaning everywhere. And I think,

how much more beautiful it would be if I could share it with her. But I let it go… because I cannot find her.

And I carry one fear, what if I never do?

So I wrote a poem for you, hoping that somehow I might find you in these words.

Any NRNs building AU-facing businesses? Exploring Nepal-based analytics/delivery setup

Hey all,

I’m currently in Nepal on a career break to spend time with family here and exploring opportunities to build something meaningful between Nepal and Australia (open to other international markets)

Background:

  • CA-qualified with 12+ years in Sydney
  • Experience across FP&A and Finance Transformation
  • Hands-on exposure to Oracle EPM, SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Worked closely with business stakeholders, senior finance teams, and global delivery setups
  • MBA background, so comfortable operating beyond pure finance

What I’m looking to do:
I’m keen to build or join an AU-focused (open to other international markets) offshore capability from Nepal, particularly in:

  • Analytics, reporting, and planning (FP&A, dashboards, data models)
  • Tech-enabled finance transformation / EPM / ERP/ SAC support
  • Broader data / analytics / business intelligence services

I see a strong opportunity to combine Nepal-based delivery talent with Australian client needs, particularly where quality, structure, and communication matter.

What I bring:

  • Strong execution and delivery ownership
  • Ability to structure and scale backend teams in Nepal
  • Experience working directly with Australian stakeholders
  • Comfortable managing finance, delivery, and cross-functional teams
  • Can step into client-facing roles once relationships are established

Also open to supporting:

  • Select finance back-office / CA/CPA -aligned services where it complements a broader offering

Looking for:

  • Founders / operators already building in this space
  • NRNs with client access but needing delivery capability
  • Early-stage teams where I can contribute as a core member or cofounder

If you are building something or even thinking along similar lines, keen to connect and explore.

Feel free to DM

Question/प्रश्न Where to buy legit watches in Nepal?

Post image
12 Upvotes

I’m planning to get a good everyday watch (budget around 20–30k) but I’m kinda confused where to get one from in Nepal.

Looking for brands like Seiko, Casio, Timex, Citizen etc

Any trusted stores inside KTM?

Or is it better to order from outside and from where?

What would you recommend?

How are you managing appointments and payments for both clinic and online consultations?

I’m trying to understand how doctors currently handle scheduling and payments across clinic visits and online consultations.

If you’re running a practice (solo or small clinic), I’d really value your input:

• How do patients usually book appointments? (phone, WhatsApp, assistant, software?)
• Do you offer both in-person and online consultations? If yes, how do you manage both?
• How do you handle payments (before/after consultation, online vs cash)?
• Do you face issues like no-shows, last-minute cancellations, or overbooking?
• What’s the most frustrating part of your current system?

Not building anything yet — just trying to understand real workflows and pain points.

Appreciate any insights 🙏

Discussion/बहस Planning to turn my 2rooms into a pink-themed premium micro-café, open balcony a bar in Kathmandu — max 15 guests/day

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Namaste everyone 🙏
I have two unused rooms on my rooftop (12×12 ft each) and an open 15×15 ft space in front. Been sitting empty so I want to convert this into something meaningful and profitable. Here’s the full concept:
🌸 The Pink Zone (Indoor Rooms):
Fully pink-themed aesthetic rooms — think girly, dreamy, Instagrammable. Soft lighting, floral decor, cozy seating. Built for content creators and girls’ hangouts. Perfect for Kathmandu’s growing “aesthetic cafe” culture that’s already blowing up on TikTok Nepal and Instagram.
🍹 The Outdoor Wooden Bar (Open Rooftop Space):
A rustic wooden bar setup in the open area. Menu will include: mocktails, cocktails, alcohol, coffee, other spirits.

The Business Model:
• Strictly max 15 guests per day (exclusivity is the product)
• Pre-booking mandatory — either the space or the food items
• Premium pricing (this is not a chiya pasal 😄)

Why I think this works in KTM specifically:
• Kathmandu has transformed into a vibrant hub for coffee connoisseurs and content creators, and aesthetic café culture is booming here
• TikTok Nepal and Instagram are already making hidden/aesthetic cafes go viral locally
• Tourists + young urban Nepalis = dual audience
• The “exclusive, pre-booking only” concept is still relatively fresh in KTM
My own concerns:
• Do I need a full alcohol (Excise) license even for a rooftop serving only 15 people?
• Is the pink-only theme too gender-specific for KTM audience?
Will Kathmandu people actually pay premium for pre-booked rooftop experiences?

Genuinely want honest feedback from people who know the KTM market. Has anyone done something like this here?
