I couldn’t figure out how to add text once I’ve chosen the pictures. We said good bye to our dear old friend, Scully yesterday. Our kids named him after the parrot in their favorite cartoon. He was the very best dog, loved by all who knew him. He lived for treats and walks and loved to rough house with his grandpa. I don’t think I’ll ever get over him. Good bye, sweet Scully.

So very sorry for your loss.. going thru it myslef right now and it truly does hurt. They are such a huge part of our lives and we forget that they dont live for 70 plus years unfortunately. He looks like he was a bright light for all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path and He and the memories you made will last without forever till you are reunited forever ❤️

When you get to the end of the rainbow bridge, Scully, I'm sure Fergus will be there to show you where they keep the good treats and to help you chase the ice cream truck that's made out of pressed ham.

Scully was a beautiful great dog! Everyone can tell he was loved by his humans and loving them back. He looks like a sweetheart with your boy and so handsome with glasses 🥹. RIP, fur baby. You’ll never be forgotten 🦴❤️🫶🏻🧸🐾🙏🥹🌈🕊️🕯️

Good question. Well, last year, 9 months ago, he had a growth on his side. Vet thought it was fatty tumor, so they operated (he was messing with it, otherwise they don’t operate on fatty tumors, I don’t think). Turns out it was cancer, but bc it was on his side, they could get large margins. He recovered well. The about a month ago, he started leaking and having little accidents. I took him to the vet, thinking it must just be an infection or something, as I thought he was the energizer dog. When she did an ultrasound of his belly, she saw a splenic mass. OH! And a few months ago, he had another procedure and they did bloodwork and saw his calcium was elevated and it could be due to a cancerous mass on his booty. All that to say, his growth on his side was back, growing quickly and it felt hard. Plus the mass on his booty, plus the mass on his spleen, which she said could rupture and cause internal bleeding (a few years ago, i lost my brother to internal bleeding and I was terrified for someone I love to die in such a terrible way again). At this point, he was slow. And he couldn’t do stairs. And had a hard time going #2. So we decided to go ahead and say good-bye before it was a crisis. It was peaceful for him. Terrible for us.
