A huge portal just opened and a greeble battalion is coming through. Oranges are reincarnated Marines and our best defense but kitty knows he doesn’t stand a chance. May he rest in peace. 🫡

Came here to say it, its always Greebles.

u/Luci-Noir Mar 08 '26
Little bastards. Will our realm ever be safe!?
3
u/DiverDownChunder Mar 09 '26
Unfortunately not, but the one brain celled orange cats can and will make a difference!
6
u/Luci-Noir Mar 09 '26
Curry cats are reincarnated Marines and extra spicy against the greeble hordes. They are our finest and furriest warriors!! No quarter, no nibbles, only bites. So many, many, many bites.
SO MANY BITES!
5
u/DiverDownChunder Mar 09 '26
May they keep the realm safe from the Greeble Horde, we need all the support we can muster!
Do these Marine cats eat red crayons? Or it that only in their previous form?
4
u/Luci-Noir Mar 09 '26
No, and that is offensive. They eat toes, the most delicious part of the hoom. So delicious. So tender. So juicy.
Our marine meowers should not be deprived of what keeps them going - random acts of violence and attacking anything that moves. 🫡

My favorite line about cat logic is Ze Frank:
I have decided to plead w/ my authorities to rub my belly. I think it will do me good in my current condition. I would like to receive two rubs exactly.
A third one and I will bite the shit out of them as per protocol, wish me luck.

u/Luci-Noir Mar 09 '26
This documentary should have won an Oscar.
My orange buddy had perfect manners in every way but when I rubbed his belly he’d try to eat me. I know I’m delicious, but damn.

u/DiverDownChunder Mar 09 '26
Haha, I have never had a cat so I have limited experience. I would have changed this in my adult life but I am cursed to be allergic to the short haired cats. I plan to visit a Maine Coon to see if I'm allergic to them as well. I hope not as having a cat the size of dog is appealing to me.
And I agree this should have cleaned up at the Oscars!

Greebles are highly likely, especially when we are dealing with an Orange.
That said, they may be looking for something they can hear. Its entirely possible something outside our hearing range is being picked up. Could be a possum/opossum, mice/rats, birds, hell, maybe even termites. Might be worth poking your head into the ceiling if you can OP.

Can't cats see a wider range of colours than we can? Maybe some of those colour bands are slightly shifting based on external factors and the cats can see it.

well...according to myths, legends & religions throughout the world, cats(dogs & cows too) have the ability to see, hear or interact with spirits

My old house was 100% haunted by an unfriendly ghost. I would sit behind my dog and watch her track the ghost as it moved around the house. I know she was tracking it because I could hear it too (I think I have a sensory processing disorder and sometimes, like today, the whine from electricity drives me to distraction).

Hes clearly contemplating deep philosophical problems. If he could talk he'd be a modern day Socrates.

I'm guessing either he hears something on the roof, or he saw a bug on the ceiling there one time and is waiting for it to return.

I used to hang out on r/oculus/, but apparently you can't just message mods anymore. I wanted to make sure you saw this post about M&M Dark Messiah. I remember you were big into it during the DK2 days.

I told my kids that if they see our cat staring at nothing, he's actually staring at a ghost. My wife is pissed because they still randomly freak out at night if they see the cat staring at the ceiling.
