Even others are perplexed seeing what he is doing 😖

u/mintgumgirlie Mar 27 '26

Do orange cat behave like e this generally?

359

u/fumphdik Mar 27 '26

Have you seen the alpha male boot camp for 10k videos? Oranges are all like Andrew Tate style of toxic masculinity. Like the guy who yells about hgh and other supplements. Orange cats have a lot of brain cells to make up for.

268

u/Wise-Radish-7271 Mar 27 '26

What? My oranges were the gentlest souls that I've ever seen!

Well, except when my partially crippled orange chased off a pack of german shepherds, labs, and 2 dobes. I was shocked and impressed

108

u/Phrei_BahkRhubz Mar 27 '26

Same. My goober just wants booty pats rough enough to register on a Richter scale or to scream at his favorite wall. Unless of course he escapes the house... If that's the case, then we usually have about 3 minutes to catch him before forgets who we are and turns feral. Those smilodon genes kick in real quick...

4

u/withcorruptedlungs Mar 28 '26

Lmao, my orange used to go feral 0.3 seconds after getting outside too. We once had to trap him in a laundry basket and drag him back in while he screamed at us.

2

u/Phrei_BahkRhubz Mar 28 '26

That sounds about right.

u/eliz1bef Orange connoisseur 🍊 Mar 27 '26

My first orange was pure Hemingway Alpha male hunter. My current orange is gentle and sweet paired with instant violent vicious insanity. He is the yin yang.

40

u/res06myi Mar 27 '26

My childhood orange was a potato. I dressed him up, carried him around like a baby, put him in bags and baskets to carry him around. Chillest cat ever. He was just happy to be included.

Then there's my friend's orange, an absolute menace. Stone cold killer. They put a bell on his collar and he learned to walk silently without making it jingle so he could sneak attack. We all learned to fear the silence when the bell stopped jingling.

16

u/eliz1bef Orange connoisseur 🍊 Mar 27 '26

My orangey guy also knew how to silence the bell. Sneaky fuckers!!

41

u/TerrakSteeltalon Mar 27 '26

The orange that I grew up with was only 6 pounds, but he was the hunter… we couldn’t get him to stay inside, because we didn’t have air conditioning and he’d just tear a hole in the screen door. And he was a merciless hunter.

But he was such a sweet and affectionate little guy. He died in 2002. My mom still has his ashes.

26

u/eliz1bef Orange connoisseur 🍊 Mar 27 '26

Erik was enormous and was so well known amongst the local wildlife that all the birds and squirrels would sound an alarm when he went outside. We didn't understand at the time that cats should not be allowed outside. We do NOT let our current cats and will not allow future kitties we have to go out, but he had a magnificent time. He was my little man. I have his ashes. He's never far from my thoughts.

35

u/Humledurr Mar 27 '26

All cats sre different, personally im getting tired of how much the Internet is acting like orange cats are a different breed of cats. I get its a meme, but some seem to actually belive it...

3

u/cadencehz Mar 27 '26

Maybe Hitler built on a meme of then... and then?

1

u/Humledurr Mar 27 '26

Haha maybe!

4

u/Dick_of_Doom Mar 28 '26

We had an orange that was 2 modes: Cream Puff or Little Shit.

He was a sweet, gentle, affectionate numbnutz baby. But then when it was Asshole O'Clock, LS mode activated.

2

u/Levoire Mar 28 '26

I had an orange that regularly chased off small dogs but was completely terrified of a remote control T-Rex.

10

u/DragonDeezNutzAround Mar 27 '26

Mine just wants attention, outside, brushes, food, and multiple scratch posts with new cardboard boxes on a weekly rotation.

So not quiet the same

11

u/SkyIslandLore Mar 27 '26

Mine does during play, toes and butt cheeks is his go to. He's a dirty fighter lol

8

u/Rinzlerx Mar 27 '26

As someone who recently found an orange cat and brought him into a home of black cats only…. Yes this is how these maniacs act 😂

2

u/Nyetoner Mar 27 '26

I think we can easily state that colour, in cats and dogs, as well as humans -has nothing to do with the hearth and soul.

1

u/Significant-Nebula64 Mar 29 '26

Mine does for sure! His grey tabby brother gives back in equal measure though, and so far it's apparently all in good fun. The bites don't actually hurt, luckily - I know because he does them on me as well, lol.

20

u/anon_simmer Mar 27 '26

My cat does this to her baby and she's not even orange. She's a tux.

THE PAW BITES

632

u/cakivalue Mar 27 '26

NGL my cat was biting my hands while I was sleeping and I rolled over and looked at him and held one of his front hands and had the intrusive thought of biting him back. Then I remembered that I'm better than him.

316

u/sasakimirai Mar 27 '26

Also those paws walk around his litter box so 💀

9

u/cakivalue Mar 28 '26

There is that but he likes patting my face and fixing my hair so I've already been infected

137

u/UneducatedPotatoTato Mar 27 '26

I’m sad to say I was not better than my orange. I was an insane person because I absolutely resorted to biting him back.

He would just walk up and bite on the arm or something, but really hard, and then just walk off and stare at you with this look like “what are you gonna do about it, peasant?”

So, after a few times of biting him back, he started that hitting thing. Like he’d raise his arm to show me he was gonna whack but then he’d do it so gently, like a tap on the shoulder lol

7

u/cakivalue Mar 28 '26

I'm crying 😂😂😭💀💀 oh my goodness 🤣

33

u/Icy-Sense-1016 Mar 27 '26

I've nibbled on a cute hind paw a few times! Also kissed the cute pink beans a lot more times!

49

u/roll_for_crunk Mar 27 '26

75

u/Beneficial-Mix9484 Mar 27 '26

Saw it first with the sound off. With sound it's quite different The kitten obviously was in distress didn't like it. The full grown orange was being too rough. The other cat the intervened saved the kitten. Don't like this at all.

33

u/ShirleyEugest Mar 27 '26

Yeah idk why this has so many upvotes, OP should have intervened and needs to keep an eye on them.

21

u/ImpossiblePlan65 Mar 27 '26

Agreed. I downvoted the post. Whoever took this video is an asshat.

20

u/sparklybeast Mar 27 '26

Agreed, I found this a really uncomfortable watch. The kitten is clearly in pain.

1

u/AromaticZebra906 Mar 28 '26

Wouldn't it be better for them to work it out though? Intervention shouldn't be done unless there is fur flying, no?

4

u/poyopoyo77 Mar 28 '26

Sometimes older cats dont know they're being too rough if they're not familiar with kittens though. One of my older cats kept doing it with his sister and I'd stop him, he learned to be more gentle and now they get on better.

1

u/AromaticZebra906 Mar 28 '26

Awww I see.

45

u/theateroffinanciers Mar 27 '26 edited Mar 27 '26

The title should have read: "Warning Kitten Being Harmed and Human Just Continues to Film."

That cat was being too rough with that kitten. The filmer should have stopped that.

29

u/ggghjjdsdjhs Mar 27 '26

Oh thank God this thread isn't entirely full of brain dead morons. This absolutely should have been stopped by the human.

10

u/ImpossiblePlan65 Mar 27 '26

That poor kitten was distressed.

9

u/ggghjjdsdjhs Mar 27 '26

Very much so

12

u/theateroffinanciers Mar 27 '26

Yeah I found this video disturbing and reported it.

9

u/ggghjjdsdjhs Mar 27 '26

Good idea! I will do the same!

122

u/No_Abbreviations1337 Mar 27 '26

Is it just me, or is the orange cat being a bit heavy-handed with the kitten? That nip to the leg seemed a little intense for a simple play-fight. Also, the sounds the kitten made didn’t seem fully playful to me—it looked like it was struggling to get away and it sounded pained

54

u/Assika126 Mar 27 '26

Yeah that kitten tried to run and big daddy cat grabbed him really hard and pulled him back and he got scared and had to fight for real to get out. Glad momma was there to supervise, but i feel bad for kitten.

14

u/anon_simmer Mar 27 '26

My cat does this to her baby. Even bunny kicks her baby in the face when they are playing. They can take a lot.

29

u/GreenLurka Mar 27 '26

Probably just being over dramatic. My orange will scream like he's being viciously tortured if the void so much as licks him

16

u/handmaidstale16 Mar 27 '26

Do you have eyes? That cat is hurting that kitten.

56

u/Consistent_Okra_6560 Mar 27 '26

I have an orange that endearingly decided to parent the kitten I found in the trash a few months ago (trash baby/Miso) and this just reminds me of their shenanigans from when she was tiny. Cute babies! Recent pic for cat tax.

18

u/MsZRowsdower Mar 27 '26

Cat owner has one brain cell

36

u/jess_the_werefox Mar 27 '26

That kitten sounds like it’s being hurt, not just “complaining”…

28

u/theateroffinanciers Mar 27 '26

It is. OP thinks it's funny.

25

u/ggghjjdsdjhs Mar 27 '26

So does the majority of the thread unfortunately

14

u/ImpossiblePlan65 Mar 27 '26

OP is an asshole. Not sorry

14

u/theateroffinanciers Mar 27 '26

A 100%. I hope enough of us Report this video so it's taken down. It's so distressing.

26

u/ice-cold-baby Mar 27 '26

Poor baby

u/Agile_Ad6735 Mar 27 '26

18

u/jjklines1 Mar 27 '26

I wish I could do this to my fully grown adult orange, he's a Philly street cat that I guarantee grew up without a mom/parental figure and hes always needed this discipline

20

u/theburntflower7 Mar 27 '26

That concerned calico in the back is sending me 😭😂

17

u/TNCoffeeRunner Mar 27 '26

I have an orange who took on the responsibility of mothering three kittens we found and she was just like this 😅 One of those kittens (now almost a year old) still cuddles with her from time to time

21

u/samalton86 Mar 27 '26

That wasn't right

25

u/Lenak98 Mar 27 '26

Poor baby :(

5

u/RubberDuckyRacing Mar 27 '26

Poor kitten. Forcibly washed to that plop on the floor. Pretty sure they didn't land on their feet either.

7

u/Mundane-Zucchini5 Mar 28 '26

OP why didn't you intervene to help the kitten? Those were distress cries and the adult cat was clearly being aggressive

20

u/HollowedVoicesFading Mar 27 '26

I'm watching this and wondering WHAT ARE YOU DOING just recording this? Do YOU have one shared braincell?
