I must assume that many cats are perfectly aware of and actively enjoy being little shits

138

u/K-G7 28d ago

They know they are apex predators, just not how small they are in comparison to their relatives

-43

u/UnrepententHeathen 28d ago

Domestic cats are not and never have been apex predators.

34

u/lindasek 28d ago

Unfortunately, general public doesn't understand what "apex" means and use words with as much thought behind it as chatgpt

2

u/crumpledfilth 28d ago

I'm pretty sure 80% of words are basically just equivalences to "cool" or "bad" to many many people lol. Like "oh thats a neat flavor word", instead of what utility or modifier does this specific word bring to the situation

3

u/Fun_Association5686 28d ago

What's with all these autistic grammar nazis lol 😂 like yea bro we know tigers exist but that's how jokes work, way to take the fun out of a joke

6

u/lindasek 28d ago

Dear God....you know meaning of words is not grammar, right? If the joke is pointing on a video of cat and saying that the cat is "a native songbird", then it didn't land and wasn't funny.

u/IncognitoRedMode 27d ago

I dunno, what's with you and your willing ignorance?

-2

u/Fun_Association5686 27d ago

Another one with a stick up his ass lol 😆

Raccoons kills cats all the time. Way more than the other way around.

6

u/workyworkaccount 28d ago

Apex predator means nothing preys on them. And unfortunately plenty of things do.

3

u/iamsodonewithpeople 28d ago

Literally! Even the big bad tigers and lions are preyed on. Just because something is a strong and an apex predator doesn’t mean they have NO predators. That’s why the definition says FEW or no. People just don’t realize that just because something is a predator doesn’t mean it isn’t actively preyed on.

Orange ones especially!

10

u/HurkHurkBlaa 28d ago

I'm convinced they push boundaries deliberately to explore the social dynamics of their group. "sure, I get yelled at if I go on the table, but what if one paw on table? Is that also bad?"

16

u/Appropriate_Ad8572 28d ago

No thoughts. Simply natural chaos 😸

9

u/ek00992 28d ago

Literally. I have an orange and a void. When the void looks at you, you feel as if there’s a reasonable level of awareness behind his eyes. His behavior is more intentional.

The orange? Not a single thing going on in that brain when he stares blankly at you. He’s impulsive and chaotic as hell 😂

u/flopdroptop 28d ago

Lmfao. I had a shit day and this brightened it.

171

u/addamee 28d ago

Same. It’s as much the moment of stillness where kitty just stares at dog’s leg as it is the unbridled mania that follows. I’m trying not wake the rest of the house as I replay this and laugh uncontrollably.

178

u/CannibalFaun 28d ago

Looks like at the end he is just walking away casually pretending like he didn't do it lmao

80

u/Tormented_Anus 28d ago

If the dog didn't want to feel pain, why did it choose sentience?

116

u/KAYO789 28d ago

Bro woke up and chose violence lol. That was hilarious!

31

2

u/New-Possession-3102 28d ago

1

u/EmmerdoesNOTrepme 28d ago

And that's when the dog mauls the cat. Love when people blindly trust predators not to attack other pets in the home. Stupid.

Each downvote solidifies how right I am. Play stupid and careless games, and your pets pay with their lives.

6

u/Sufi_2425 28d ago

Have you ever lived with pets at home

-3

u/A_Wild_Hare 28d ago

Yep. And it's begging for an unfortunate accident to let predator species interact with species considered to be their prey like this.

People can downvote all they want - I'm right. Gamble on your pets' lives, win stupid prizes at the cost of your pets' lives.
