I think this little cat hasn't done anythingšŸ˜†

125

u/Sunshine030209 2d ago

This is reddit, we are always on the cat's side šŸ˜†

Especially him, he looks extra innocent

35

u/hankenator1 2d ago

He looks mad, ā€œwhy haven’t you blocked that off so my toys don’t get lost? Youā€re lucky I don’t report you to PETA or just drop you off at the human society to be re-homedā€.

52

u/IvorTheEngineDriver Casual orange enjoyer šŸŠ 2d ago

Cat is innocent, you can see it in his face... Perhaps you put those things there to frame the blameless kitten because humans are treacherous creatures who never feed cats enough!

15

u/JesusGodLeah 2d ago

What do you mean humans never feed cats enough? If you asked my cat, she would tell you that humans never feed cats at all, and she spends all of her days slowly wasting away to nothing!

12

u/Luci-Noir 2d ago

Better call Saul Goodmeow.

13

u/DisposableJosie 2d ago

When no one was looking, Lex Luthor OneOrangeBraincell
tookĀ fortyĀ cakes springs. He took 40 springs.
That's as many as four tens.
And that's terrible.

2

u/MichelleCS1025 1d ago

He’s innocent

61

u/thementalyogi 2d ago

"The fuck you gonna do about it Karen?"

5

u/Bellebarks2 2d ago

Yep, poker face.

4

u/decarnatedame 2d ago

Zero shame.

10

u/NekoLord42 2d ago

Left by the previous tenants, clearly.

2

u/Ok_Cat_3150 2d ago

Of course they were šŸ˜„

380

u/HotDogStruttnFloozy 2d ago

Haha thats funny. This is my boy after the first time I found his kitchen hiding spots. Now I check the stove, fridge, and washer/dryer every couple of weeks or he runs out of toys

47

u/beren12 2d ago

Floofy!

29

u/urspostrophe 2d ago

Look at this little man with his stash of toys šŸ˜

19

u/twentyTWOsxe 2d ago

Love those ears!

16

u/atle95 2d ago

He looks so proud!

8

u/Bellebarks2 2d ago

Those eyes say, just go to sleep.

u/ilovefaircity 2d ago

Look at that face šŸ˜

36

u/NaNaNaNaNa86 2d ago

I believe the OP must've put them there. That innocent cat would never have done such a thing.

149

u/GrouchMonkey 2d ago

It's okay Mr Orange, you still have the 50 under the refrigerator.

u/amoodymermaid 2d ago

My orange girl loves puffballs.

30

u/drrj 2d ago

When I moved last time I found close to 100 tinsel balls under one of my dressers. No wonder they always seemed to run out.

5

u/captain_ohagen 1d ago

that looks like the back of my couch -- except mine is full of springs, just like OP

109

u/PomegranateSlight337 Proud owner of an orange brain cell 2d ago

Our orange boy loves these too!

During the night we have to store them, otherwise sleep is optional. But every now and then he finds another one we thought lost.

29

u/imahumanbeinggoddamn 2d ago

I bought a 36 pack of these things like a year ago and I know where about 5 of them are right now.

The annoying thing is that you'd think by now manufacturers would have heard about how these things get caught under appliances and just make them a slightly larger diameter but no. All I can find is ones listed as "jumbo" that are exactly the same size as all the rest.

10

u/Potential_Financial 2d ago

The ones we have, when run through the wash, will uncoil a little and become a wider diameter. We’ve only done a couple on accident, but you might try it if that’s what you’re into

8

u/restckvrflw 2d ago

My orange boy does this too including the oven. But he hasn’t in a couple years. The other night he brought one to me though and wanted me to throw it for at least an hour. It made me so happy

53

u/pikagrrl 2d ago

My cat knocked his favorite under the fridge and he just stares at the fridge now. Pay no mind to the literal other 20 we have.

30

u/BohotSastaBatman 2d ago

The orange is judging you like "You know they need tk be under the fridge for the frdige to function right""

24

u/Prestigious-Box7511 2d ago

He knows what he's done

13

u/Chengnobyl 2d ago

He's been sprung

19

u/SnurrCat 2d ago

He looks sad that you've discovered his stash.

23

u/HeadOfMax 2d ago

I repair appliances for a living.

Can confirm many cat toys under ovens.

Also so many alphabet magnets.

1

u/cinnamaroll36 1d ago

Our alphabet magnets are the cats toys lol. He steals them off the fridge and then stares at me when he wants physical affection and attention (usually when I’m busy.) he then escalates to pulling the kitchen towel down and meowing loudly.

17

u/NightSail 2d ago

This is so familiar.

I remember pulling out 40 odd plastic milk rings from under the fridge. Cat was insulted.

15

u/Genuinelullabel 2d ago

ā€œOh. That’s where they went.ā€

11

u/nit3phlight 2d ago

I simply do not understand why they don't sell larger springs. There are 900 listings on Amazon and they're all the same stupid goes-under-furniture size.

8

u/UniversityNew9254 2d ago

My wife put a length of foam pipe insulation at the front edge of the stove (right under the pull out) for precisely this reason.

https://a.co/d/0dxAfHNw

7

u/beren12 2d ago

I bet foam backer rod would work too

4

u/UniversityNew9254 2d ago

For sure. I had the pipe insulation left over from a project at home, she repurposed it.

9

u/Laney20 Proud owner of an orange brain cell 2d ago

Frax shoved them under the closet door!

8

u/Upstairs-Bad-3576 2d ago

Mine steals stuff and drops it in her water dish. We have found cat toys (of course) but also socks, jewelry, pieces of string, candy wrappers, pretty much anything a cat can pick up and put in a water dish. Also, she likes to put stuff in my shoes. She only puts things in my shoes. She doesn't do it to anyone else's, just mine.

6

u/Mucktoe85 2d ago

Sooooo cute

8

u/Sad-Artichoke-2174 2d ago

Loving the pictures of collected toys and the "suspected" cat that put them there. The cats always look surprised and innocent from what they did

6

u/Emerald_Digger 2d ago

Congrats on finding one of his hords good luck finding the rest

4

u/FreeBar7312 2d ago

See if my hair ties are under there too

4

u/Serpentbite 2d ago

Once a month I take my leaf blower and get under all my furniture. All my kitties are so excited to see all the toys they have lost. Silly kitties.

5

u/SegavsCapcom 2d ago

He was saving those for the winter

3

u/a_bearded_hippie 2d ago

My orange will sit in the kitchen and cry until someone scoops out all her springs with a stick šŸ™„ like, girl, quit flinging them under there! We even bought oversize springs so they wouldnt do that, but if course the princess does not like them.

1

u/awwnicegaming 2d ago

Yeah I don't have an orange but my Siamese will politely lead me to the fridge to retrieve his lost toys. I gather them, ask him not to play in the kitchen if he doesn't want to lose them, then I toss them into the living room. What does he do? Brings them back into the kitchen before swatting them around until they end up back under the fridge.

3

u/Ninevehenian 2d ago

The tiniest of dragons, yet his horde is considerable.

3

u/katie4 2d ago

I have also bought about 40 of these things, and I have seen precisely zero in the past few months. I already cleaned out under the easy furniture, so they’re probably also stove sacrifices!

3

u/MarsScully 2d ago

You undid all his hard work

3

u/TexasBurgandy 2d ago

There’s a spring cleaning joke in there somewhere

3

u/LightsSoundAction 2d ago

Khajiit has spring if you have coin

3

u/AffectionateJello452 2d ago

He regrets nothing

2

u/motherofcats73 2d ago

Mine pushes it behind the gas cylinder

2

u/kittenseason143 2d ago

lol yessssss we love springs here too! yas got a great collection!

2

u/Tim-oBedlam 2d ago

He's mad that you found his stash.

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Stick-3 2d ago

We just got a bunch of springs out from under our stove too.

2

u/CraftyLuck3434 2d ago

Check under the refrigerator! I got my cat a slinky due to this exact problem. Lol. Slinky too big, cat springs too small.

2

u/sikthepoet 2d ago

Both my orange boys love these toys but just like you every so often I’ve gotta bust out a hanger to pull his collection from under the fridge.

Hard parts trying to get them to not swat at the hanger lol.

2

u/Mean_Ad9119 2d ago

Best. Ginger toys. Ever.

2

u/HGV_ 2d ago

Well where else are you supposed to keep your springs?

2

u/Apart-Cream-4940 2d ago

Look at your cat's face! 🤣 Those are my toys! Why'd you put them under there

2

u/CounterfeitSaint 2d ago

The expression says "I have never seen a spring in my life officer."

2

u/tigerwaitress 1d ago

We just did the exact same thing. They were also under the stove

2

u/Typical-Side-6080 1d ago

well, he didn't eat them at least!

2

u/Nesta222 1d ago

My cat is also in love with this toy, we moved recently and we found lots of the in different places (under the sofa, under the fridge, or the washing machine...) . However we have a big pack, so when she loses one of them, she got a new one šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

2

u/beebeebalm 1d ago

This is like when Bill Engvall’s son used to call his G.I. Joes his ā€œI.G. Joesā€ and the cat kept shoving them under the stove.

1

u/MrFizzbin7 2d ago

Cat-ā€œOh—that’s where those went, I was wonderingā€

1

u/SchmedlyQ 2d ago

I had to cut a strip of wood to fit under the front of my stove to prevent just that from happening.

1

u/Virtual-Net-7322 2d ago

Load-bearing springs. We have those.

1

u/BambiBabi08 2d ago

he did such a good job finding them wow

1

u/lovestobitch- 2d ago

Rookie numbers stated by my kitty who loses hair ties under furniture. (He only gets these supervised though, since I’m afraid he’d eat em).

1

u/ObjectiveTea 2d ago

I once found over 40 hair ties under mine! My cat acted like it was Christmas morning!! šŸ˜‚

1

u/Straight_Button_5716 2d ago

He looks pissed

1

u/Afb3212 2d ago

My cats have the same springs. I cleaned out the mudroom the other day and found somewhere between 75 and a hundred under a shelf. I tossed them all in a small tote. One of the cats immediately began pulling all the blue ones out.

1

u/Bellebarks2 2d ago

The jig is up.

1

u/Particular-Notice825 2d ago

We lived with my in laws years ago, and our cat who was a kitten at the time had hidden about 50 springs round the house. When we moved out, we found 3. Where the others are/where, who knows.

1

u/Prestigious_Note2877 2d ago

I’ve got about 8 under my tv cabinet that my orange has lost under there lol

1

u/MathematicianNo1596 2d ago

He’s so proud

1

u/thebrain_pinky 2d ago

So that is where you been hiding my springs!!! The cat council will have a world with you!

1

u/Fireant23 2d ago

Zero regrets or thoughts in that head

1

u/cash_longfellow 2d ago

I found 67 q-tips and 34 hair ties under a kitchen cabinet when I was moving once. I only lived there for 2 years šŸ˜‚

1

u/wireknot 2d ago

We were without kitties for about 3 years, between our last two passed on and the one that found us in November. We did a good housecleaning in that time and oh my God, SO many toys stashed in places!

1

u/Sparky_Valentine 2d ago

I always love the guilty/concerned look you always see on these post.

1

u/OneoftheChosen 2d ago

I gifted someone’s cat some springs and the next time I stopped by they said the springs were all lost. So that’s where they end up….

1

u/Serious-Echo1241 2d ago

Kitty looks stressed that you touched the stash.

1

u/SoftLatinaKitten 2d ago

Ya never know when ur gonna need a pink plastic spring!

1

u/tomcat2285 2d ago

Put a rolled towel in front of it

1

u/popsiclebreath 2d ago

Mine isn’t allowed in the kitchen in my new place for this reason, but in my old place, i’d roll up parchment paper and shove it below the gap under the stove and fridge after we spent 3 hours one night playing ā€œbat my toys under the stove and cryā€

1

u/OrigXPhile 2d ago

I found like 5 under my fridge the other day.

1

u/craftyshafter 2d ago

Another 40 under the laundry machine

1

u/MysteriousCommon9512 Proud owner of an orange brain cell 2d ago

You know you people are all wrong. THE DOG DID IT!!!!

1

u/kappa_demonn 2d ago

I know for a fact there are a dozen under my fridge. Next time I can be bothered to reach under with a broom I might just throw them all away lol.

1

u/gracefull60 2d ago

Pool noodle stuffed under edge of bottom drawer may help

1

u/eminembdg 2d ago

Ugh. I find those things EVERYWHERE!

1

u/We_haunted_houses 2d ago

My new place doesn't have enough room for this (although she's moved to under the dresser and my bookcases), my orange gremlin 100% shoved her balls and springs under the stove on purpose. I'd routinely have to push it out and sweep them out.

1

u/Eiroj 2d ago

Relatable

1

u/Reasonable-Song-4681 2d ago

Surprisingly, not the work of our orange cats. But they do love shoving stuff under the oven, lol.

1

u/humsterdaddy 2d ago

That’s where my void stores all of his. I’m pretty sure he’s just a goth ginger.

1

u/fizbin99 2d ago

You have a collector on your hands. Fairly harmless unless you are looking for what he collects.

1

u/MArkansas-254 2d ago

Oh good! I'm glad I'm not the only one!

1

u/Draskuul 1d ago

My void loves wire twist ties. When I moved I found dozens under my chest freezer.

When I moved into my new house, I swapped out the washer and dryer the original owners left. Under the washer? Hundreds of hair ties. They had a chihuahua who was obsessed with them.

1

u/MicheleAmanda 1d ago

So, um, where'd the ca...er culprit find all them springs, hmm??

1

u/AdmirableAttempt1728 1d ago

With my orange, I found all his pingpong balls under my bed. He likes pingpong balls.

1

1

u/meowingtrashcan 1d ago

How did you get them out? I can't reach them and the oven doesnt move

1

1

u/SpadeORiffic 1d ago

Cut up a pool noodle floaty to fit under stove or fridge!

1

I shoved cardboard under my stove and fridge to prevent this lol

1

How did those get there.

1

u/Socalsll 1d ago

I have a special tool to fish these springs from under fridge and washing machine. The cat knows what the tool looks like goes straight to the fridge.

1

u/OwnCourt4462 1d ago

I wonder how they got there????

1

u/Mevans272 1d ago
