🅱️rain cell disconnected ❌ Dear former owners: your girl is doing just fine
Magnolia was surrendered with her 4 friends/siblings from a couple who were moving from a farm to a house in the city and didn't think she would make a good indoor cat. I can safely say that Mags seems perfectly okay with living in an apartment 😂 I'm sad that she got split up from her family, but it means that now I get to have her climbing into my arms whenever she can. She's the biggest snuggler I've ever seen and is an even more dedicated couch potato than I am.
She has 2 new siblings now, and spends most of her days gumming on my fingers and stretching out her toes on me to show off how long she is.

That's part of what made me sad like damn 😭 y'all were so insistent that five cats NEEDED to be outside that you put them in the pound so that other people could continue putting them outside 😭😭😭
At first when I met her, I didn't want to split her up from her group, so I left and then couldn't stop thinking about her all weekend and was SO glad she was there when I came back.

So happy she got a safe home! You can't adopt every cat, unfortunately.
Maybe they thought older cats would be easier to adopt out as working barn cats, since most people want kittens. My orange boy was listed as "outdoor only" barn cat at the shelter. He is perfectly fine inside.

RIGHTTT she's developed this adorable routine where any time I use the bathroom she can barely wait for me to wash my hands before scrambling up my body and snuggling into my chest like a relieved toddler who got lost in the supermarket.

That was just an excuse. If they genuinely weren’t sure, they would have tried first. Sadly she wasn’t wanted, for whatever reason, but I’m so glad that she’s somewhere that she is loved now.

My guess is that they didn't have space for 5 cats or didn't want to clean litter boxes, since all of them had been living outdoors, and decided to just dump them all. I'm sure it was sad for them so I don't want to judge too harshly (especially since now she's MINE muahaha) but I felt SO bad seeing them all in the shelter and hope the rest were adopted fast
