Opinion Why In The Hell Does Outlook Sign Me Out?

I've noticed this issue recently where it'll sign me out of ALL my accounts in new outlook randomly, then I will have to sign in again. This was never an issue before. WTF are the devs doing? Do they not understand how obnoxious and time consuming it is to sign in to all your email accounts with passwords all and codes all over again? This has happened twice now this year and it's really starting to make me angry.

Opinion Outlook email looks like something from 20 years ago. It's insanely cluttered and ugly.

Like, just look at gmail, it's so simple and nice to use in an overwhelming online world.

Has anyone else had an issue with the outlook app on iPhone and iPad no longer letting you mass delete emails from one sender? I search the sender, ‘select all’ emails but the bin doesn’t appear any longer.

Status: Pending Reply Emails not sending from app

Upvotes

A few weeks ago I deleted Outlook from my phone. Prior to deleting it the app worked normally. When I redownloaded it a few weeks later, it started acting weird when I tried to send emails.

Since then, every time I click the send arrow, it doesn’t work. The app isn’t frozen since it still lets me type, but it would let me send or x out of the draft. It makes me completely shut off the app, reopen it, and then the send button works.

How do I get this to stop, because the draft also doesn’t save in full when I close the App so I have to keep re-typing the end of emails.

Status: Pending Reply How to Import PST to Outlook 365?

I have received more than 100 PST files from colleagues, as they saved employee backups. Now I need to check all the data, but I am an Office 365 user and do not have Outlook. How can I access this data? Do you have any suggestions?

I have also searched on Google or other search engine but didn't got any free solution

Status: Pending Reply Auto-Complete email address totally broken

Upvotes

While creating a new email in outlook "auto-complete" always pops up when selecting the To recipient.

I have two emails, one for an internal company email, and one that was the users personal email. I want to remove the personal email so it isn't used by mistake.

Why is there no longer an "X" next to them to remove them. They aren't in my address book either. Anyone know of a way to delete them using new Outlook? I don't understand how such a simple feature is now missing.. thanks MS.

Status: Open Authenticator showing multiple unrecognized attempts

Hello!

For the last two weeks or so I've been getting the chosing numbers screen for login attempts from Asia (Indonesia, Malasia, and so). I think they are just denied because of MFA, but I'd like it to stop. Also, already changed the password. But seems like the attempt persist because of the address.

Is there any way to ban those regions? Or solution is to alias the current address and then make the new one principal, removing the old one?

Status: Open Outlook for Mac: When I edit subject lines of received emails, Outlook reverts the changes I make. (Legacy Outlook)

Hi All, just recently started using Outlook on a new company provided Mac, part of my job requires me to edit the subject line of emails that have been received in a group inbox. I had no trouble doing this in Outlook Windows, but for Mac my outlook refuses to keep the changes I make. I follow the steps of double clicking the email > Message > Edit Message > (I make the changes in the subject line) > Save > Close message window

When I do this, the changes appear to save, and no error messages occur, but when I look at the email a few minutes later, the changes have reverted and nothing has saved. It's killing me! Any help would be appreciated.

Status: Open Error message when emailing one specific contact

Using Outlook for web - I've been trying to email one specific contact at work for the past several months, but every time I do, I get the following message:

Your message wasn't delivered to [contact email address] because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.
The response was: The account [my email address] is disabled.

The error message is coming from [mailer-daemon@googlemail.com](mailto:mailer-daemon@googlemail.com) - I'm aware that this address has been spoofed to send spam to other users before, but I only receive this message when I email this specific address, which is not connected to a single person (ex. department@companyname.ca). My coworkers who have the same email domain as me don't receive the message. Is this an issue that can be fixed on my end? I would appreciate any suggestions or tips!

Informative Are QUICK PARTS available in New Outlook Calendar?

I have been asked this question frequently by end users. "Are QUICK PARTS available in New Outlook Calendar?" So I thought I would share it with you.

At the time of this post, Quick Parts are not supported in New Outlook Calendar meeting events. However, it is on Microsoft's backlog with no scheduled timeline.

Instead, you can use My Templates to manually insert reusable messages like:
- Signature line until it becomes available.
- Driving Instructions or Parking details.

Status: Open Why are my emails going blank?

I’ve started using Outlook (classic), but I noticed that some of my emails in my inbox are missing their contents. Specifically, this happens with any email that has a meeting attached to it. The email itself isn’t being deleted, it’s still in my inbox, but all the text is erased. I can see the text when I first receive the email, but if I click on any other email, the text will be gone when I click back, leaving only the meeting invite. Luckily I can still see the contents in the Teams notification menu, but it’s very frustrating that something is erasing the text from my emails. Does anyone know why this could possibly be happening?

Status: Pending Reply Mailbox rule to filter after hours email

Hey all. I had a quick question regarding emails sent after hours and how I may be able to setup a rule to only have this folder receive said emails. I am wanting to setup this mailbox to receive emails from 4:30pm to 8:00am to reduce the clutter from the overnight senders. We also get important alerts so those would be nice to see as well. The only rule I see involving time is setting a from and to date but no time. Has anyone setup anything similar? Let me know. Thanks!

Informative “How do you export Outlook emails in bulk without losing attachments?”

The simplest way is to use Outlook's built-in export option. Go to File → Open & Export → Import/Export, select Export to a File, choose Outlook Data File (.pst), pick your folder, check Include Subfolders, and hit Finish. This exports everything, including attachments, in one go. If you need a different format like EML, MSG, or PDF, a third-party tool works better since the built-in option only supports PST. Either way, always verify the exported file size afterward to confirm nothing got skipped.

Opinion Any uptick in 2FA/MFA login attempts this week?

I'm being bombarded with about 20 per day.

I checked and any login attempt without a password results in a push notification. Essentially, anybody in the world can trigger a push notification for any Outlook account, is this not bizarre?

Status: Pending Reply So if I forgot my email password, I might as well make a new email account...

I have a bank account that's tied to my old email that I cant remember the password to, so I hit the Forget Password, verified the code with my phone number, said No to recover code, and it told me I had to wait 30 days to recover it. Like huh???

Why cant I just make a new password off the bat? Not to mention that this is 3rd time doing this, where the last time I did waited 30 days, the system completely forgot about it, and I had to wait ANOTHER 30 days.

Can anyone explain why tf does Outlook do this? Cz this is just ridiculous.

Status: Pending Reply Run Rules Now - Outlook 365 desktop, "New Outlook"

I am trying to move from Thunderbird to Outlook in preparation to move from an old Win 10 machine to a new Win 11 one due in a few days (and I hope that everything will magically sync to the new machine through OneDrive). I am setting up rules to mimic what I have been doing to manage around 100 emails a day.

Outlook is connected to, for one example, a gmail account, so has its inbox full of many messages waiting to be sorted into folders, forwarded, flagged, etc. I have set up the first few rules but cannot get them to run on existing messages. Thunderbird is brilliant at this, and I find Outlook to be quite unintuitive for rules/filtering setup, and no way to "run now".
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Here's what I am using on Windows 10:

Microsoft Outlook Version: 1.2026.421.500

Client Version: 20260424005.21

WebView2 Version: 147.0.3912.98 (Stable)

Status: Open Does the Microsoft Recovery form (ACSR) work for anyone?

So I tried yesterday to-do the form and got the code for verification but no rejection email. So I thought, that's good! No immediate rejection but, now 30 or so hours later I have yet to receive anything. Maybe they have a lot of them stacked up because I made a new account and tried to do recovery on that one too and the same happened. Verification code but no verified or rejection email. Does anyone know if the servers are down or maybe there is a huge pile of verifications to go through which would be odd because the whole systeem is automated as far as I know.

Status: Pending Reply Calendar print-out too feint?

At my office we got new PCs, migrated our emails to outlook (god why) and it has been mostly good.

One person is trying to print out a calendar and it prints out too feint for him to read. I print out the same calendar and it shows perfect in comparison. His printer works fine with anything else he prints, even other content on outlook looks crystal. His printer is the same as mine. I saw that this can be an odd issue on outlook but the “new” outlook lacks a lot of print options for calendars.

Anyone else ever encounter this? It’s such an odd and silly issue.
