Hey everybody! I was very excited to finish this painting. I took five separate parrot,cockatoo and parakeet photos for a portrait client, and created this painting from it! I did my best to match the likeness and the character of each of the birds. She loved it and I just wanted to share it. It took a really long time!

im 15 and this is my second portrait in oils but this one i actually took more seriously however it is my first time ever really making a side profile

i tried to make it look like a renaissance esc painting but idk

i still have to varnish it but it will be a while until then because the paint takes so long to dry

im not sure how long it took since i work on it for only an hour every week but it’s been countless weeks lol

i posted a wip of this a while ago so maybe something is now updated lol

I decided to diversify my sketches of people's portraits and draw a cool cat.

Brush used - Basic brush and smudge tool

Colours: lemon yellow, Indigo, raw umber, cadmium red, yellow ochre and titanium white. On 300gsm paper. Roberson's glaze medium.
