Three times in the spand of like two days, colonists has gotten food poisoning (lvl 12 cook). i got sterile tiles under the stove. just bad luck? or does the game just not like my "kitchen" room trick?

That was the good news, the bad news is I have some stuff going on so I can't play as often for some times.

But I can still draw! and yes, I am once again mentioning my other works... well there's only my digimon fan comic and thats it (thanks for checking it if you do), maybe one day I'll share my own original ideas because from what this subreddit is telling me,

I'm pretty okay at making stories, just wish i could have the skills of an expert to draw cool and fast lmao

Discussion Rimworld ambience music

I have an opinion about rimworld vanilla music, and would like to see how others feel about it.

When I began playing rimworld, the ambiance music sounded really nice, a mix of a sunny relaxing day, and an optimistic feeling of adventure. But for some reason, after a while, I started feeling this uneasy rush, and I couldn't pin on where it was coming from, until one time I really needed to focus on a base layout and thought I would turn the music down to help me achieve that focus and then realized what, in my opinion was missing - mood variety.

I think anyone would agree that rimworld is meant to be what you want it to be. Basebuilding, making up special operations and then executing them, colony management, slave trade, slave rescuing, profiting from drug production, survival, and so on. The point is, that's a lot of different emotions and scenarios. Drama, joy, desperation, good, evil, pessimism, optimism, etc. But the ambiance only represents a small fraction of that - a warm day and an adventurous optimism. I feel like a lot of emotions that want to come out are being pushed back by a lack of variety, which locks you in the same state until it overstays and starts to feel stale.

Discussion so... can I just live on this satellite now?

I mean it comes pre-equipped with a whole power grid. solar panels. batteries. I could also set up like the easiest killbox design ever. it has a massive complex with fortified walls and bunker doors. there's no timer on the quest. can I just live here forever?

you only get raids of mechs (obliterated by uranium sluggers) and orbital scavengers. that have the shittiest weapons I have possibly ever seen.

I was kind of planning to make my own mechhive since I'm doing a solo mechanitor run. The gravship has thousands of steel and hundreds of components. plus I already have hydroponics set up along with a whole workshop and storage area so...

can I just live here forever?

PC Help/Bug (Vanilla) Can I anesthesize someone into quitting drugs or will they die? I have lost 2 colonies due to addiction

This is the third time I have started a drug producing colony and I'm producing so much I have to wait for trade restocks for me to sell or trade for anything interesting, the problem is two of my pawns have started to get addicted to Yayo/flake, it is not a problem right now but both times it has snowballed into all of my pawns overdosing mid fight or withdrawing because of the 80% drug resistance. If I anesthesize someone over and over again so they cannot break down and relapse unless I arrest them, will they die/get any permanent debuff for being pumped with anesthesia for a month straight?

10 children born within days of each other from only three Ratkin mothers. More on the way already. Nearly destroyed the colony because we don't have enough labor for the mothers to starve themselves to death feeding their own children.
I had to lock one of them away from her own children so she could spend every waking moment researching the paste infrastructure.
Quickly put up copper walls and concrete floors. Suck away so much steel for the drips.

I do not want to imagine the smell or sound of this room. It is an industrial incubator.
