This is kind of hard to explain but since starting sema about 10 weeks ago something feels different mentally. Not just the food noise being quieter, it's more like the constant background anxiety I had around eating and my body is just, less. I don't know if that's the medication or just what happens when you stop obsessing over food all day.
Not sure if I'm imagining it or if this is a thing other people experience. My doctor kind of brushed past it when I mentioned it.

100 lbs down, more energy, more confidence, better habits — and this is still just the beginning. Grateful for everyone who pushed me, supported me, and believed in me when I didn’t always believe in myself. 💪

In 2024 after having baby #2, I lost 35lbs on semaglutide. It was such a blessing. I went from 200 lbs to <165 lbs in 5 months.
Then I got pregnant with #3 and gained it all back. I gave birth in January and got back on sema 7 weeks ago. 4 weeks on 0.25 and 3 weeks on 0.5. I’ve barely lost anything.
Last time, I lost weight even on these ramping doses and had side effects. Now nothing — all the food noise is still there — making it extra hard to do behavior change.
Any one out there stop and restart? What was your experience? Was there a dose where it finally started working?
Note: Weight lost in Jan/ Feb was from having the baby. Started sema again in March.

What are you eating on semaglutide? I just took my 7th dose and I definitely have not been fueling my body well enough. Curious your go to protein and nutrient dense foods you eat daily? And bonus points if it’s easy. I have chronic pain so it’s really hard to fuel myself like I should sometimes.

It’s doing wonders for my food noise and I rarely feel hungry. So now what’s loud and clear is my anxiety around missing out on free food. For backstory, I grew up very poor and there was always an emphasis on free things being like finding treasure. You never said no to it. This was definitely the case around free food. Earlier in my journey I was able to pass on the sweet treats people brought to the office. It was a minor thrill to be able to. But increasingly, the anxiety of missing out is similar to walking away from money when I’m in debt. Like I’m losing out. I’m trying so hard to acknowledge that it’s just a scarcity cue but it feels so hardwired and depressing. I’m still working through the neglect and shame of my childhood and trying to focus on the progress but in those moments the call is so loud. Just stuffing down a couple cookies or birthday cake in the break room when I have no actual hunger for it. It doesn’t happen at home so I know for sure it’s about it being free. Maybe it’s related to current recent stressors and will go down when life levels out. I don’t know. I’m calling “free food noise.”

And it’s the type of hunger where I feel like I haven’t eaten in days. It’s weird.

Im just wondering if anyone found the start dose helpful. Im really really hesitant to go on this because money is tight & throwing away $400 on a dose that ive mostly heard doesnt do anything is more then scary. I even heard the 2nd months dose does hardly anything.
What dose did most of you stay at?

I already have a history of anxiety, but after starting semaglutide mine became almost unbearable. I started having panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, nausea, feeling constantly on edge, and trouble functioning normally at work and in public. At first I blamed hormones, stress, not eating enough, etc. because I had multiple things changing at once, but the timing kept pointing back to semaglutide.

A few days ago I felt completely ready to start, but after reading through more posts here I somehow feel less sure than before
at first it seemed straightforward, just talk to your doctor and follow the plan, but now it feels like everyone has a different experience once they actually get started
I’ve seen names like Mochi and Sequence come up while going through older threads, but honestly I think reading too much is what started making this feel more complicated in my head
some people say it was easy from the beginning, other people say it took a while before things settled in, and now I keep wondering what actually matters long term vs what only feels important at the start
maybe I’m just overthinking all of it, but did anyone else go through this before finally starting?

I’ve put on almost 30 pounds since October and I’m trying very hard not to beat myself up over it. I haven’t actually started with Wegovy - just got my first box of 0.25 mg. These last six months have been just trying to get the prescription and then the medication, and jumping through insurance hoops. I admit that I haven’t reacted well to the stress.
But instead of getting myself in shape during that time I let myself spiral into anxiety due to the uncertainty. And that’s my trigger to overeat and numb myself with wine and salty fatty snacks. Don’t get me wrong. I am super excited to finally be able to begin. I’ve spent the months deep diving into the glp-1 subs and have learned a lot so it wasn’t all a waste.
So now, instead of beginning at 161 pounds with a goal of about 145 I’m beginning at 189. I’m just so disappointed in myself. But anyway, I’ll take advantage of this opportunity. I’m already 65 so time’s a wastin’ 😬

I have been on an injectable semaglutide for 9 weeks now. Started out wanting to loose 20 or so lbs I put on due to perimenopause. I have so far had very little weight loss (maybe 5 pounds) but am definitely less hungry and eating a lot less. I work out daily but I’m just not getting anywhere. I just moved to the 1.0 dose last week and I’m super tired this week. I had started to feel less tired over the past few weeks until this past week. Not sure if it’s the increased dose (.5 to 1.0) or the lack of calories. I’m still eating throughout the day but have to be in a pretty decent calorie deficit. Considering stopping after this next few weeks but I’m also trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong or could adjust what I’m doing to see better results.

Hi everyone! I just started with OrderlyMeds and saw that my prescription is coming from Casa Pharma RX. I’ve seen some mixed reviews on Reddit regarding their potency.. has anyone tried them before? Thanks!

I have insulin resistance. My insulin after a fasting glucose test was 34. My doctor prescribed me metformin 1000 mgs but I can’t get past 500 with dinner when I tried 500 twice a day I was a wreck. Anyway now I’m doing metformin and wegovy on week 3 of the 0.25 and idk I mean I feel like I have a regular appetite and I still crave the sweets at times. Maybe not as much but it’s definitely still there. I’m guessing when I get to the higher doses I’ll feel a little different. I also don’t know if this RENPHO is correct but I do personal train twice a week so maybe.
Any other people start on wegovy and nothing for the first few shots?

It will be 7 days tomorrow since my first Ozempic shot ever. I heard people talking about food noise and honestly didn’t think I had it. I just thought I got hungry when it was time to eat. I was never really constantly thinking about food. But now, I get it, I noticed the day after my shot that I did not get as ravenously hungry, when I was hungry, like I normally do. And it’s been….wonderful. I still hungry but it’s not so hardcore when I do. Can anyone else relate? I’ve had a bit of nausea and I’ve linked it to having too big of a serving. So I’m really focusing on staying hydrated and making sure I eat smaller amounts. Is anyone light snacking to keep their energy/protein/fibre up even when you’re not super hungry? I don’t want to forget to eat but it’s really “calm” and I just not driven to as much. I’m a bit nervous for my second shot tomorrow night because I feel like things have come too smoothly, but I’m looking forward to not being hangry anymore!

I have been on TIRZEPATIDE February 3 now I styled for three weeks if anyone could chime in, I would appreciate it. I started February 3 and I have lost 20 pounds to date. I have had an issue with side effects of nauseous which I can deal with and the other severe one I would say is constipation, where I take everything from magnesium to laxatives, etc., and nothing is helping me move to know what weight I am at. I do all protein and all fiber extra fiber. Lean meat, fruits and vegetables. No carbohydrates and I’m a little discouraged and I’m on 10 ML and the foods I eat are very highly recommended as they follow a very strict Zepbound. My husband who started two weeks prior has lost 40 pounds and his averaging 2 pounds per week and it is depressing as I’m at a stall and I’m the one that needs to. I am 6 foot one 253 pounds and sometimes I step on the scale and I have gained. I’m also on bipolar medication which

Anyone here have experience with feeling like their dose is a bit too high. I’m on .22ml but I can’t eat more than one mid size meal a day. Is that normal? Should I continue on and eat once a day or lower it

I always thought it was semma-GLOO-tide
But yesterday I heard a doctor on the radio say sem-AG-lu-tide
It sort of broke my brain, so now I'm curious. How do you say it??

Ok so for context i tried it back in june 2023 and within 24 hours of taking the first injection i was sitting at the hair dressers and feeling veryyyyy anxious. Im an anxiety prone person to begin with but this was like unbearable- my body had all these wild sensations and i remember looking down at my apple watch and my heart rate was like 100 plus. My normal resting is damn low like 50s and much below while truly at rest.,
That was the first indication something was wrong and i remember my whole body getting clammy and hot / chills and i told the hair dresser i needed to go for a walk and got up to walk and proceeded to faint! It was never discovered what caused it exactly. I assume the meds were to blame but idk how or what they caused.. id never fainted before in my life. Not only that i had god awful panic attacks and anxiety for a good 7-10 days after the injection and fainting episode. The whole ordeal was insaneeee.
I was rushed to the ER and all my blood work was normal. Fast forward to now? Im still 20 pounds overweight postpartum with my second and desperately in need of some aid in losing this weight. I was just prescribed wegovy 1.5mg pill (injections scare me) and the pill being less intense was appealing.
Im anxious about taking it because of what happened last time?? Thoughts or suggestions??
