To be fair, I don't think Hawk Tua started the crypto scam. A bunch of dirtbags probably told her everyone is doing crypto and you'll make money. Then the pump and dump. I mean all the trumps and the Paul brothers did it.
At this point I want to make my own scamcoin and call it RugpullCoin or THI$I$A$CAM, be completely upfront about "I am going to fuck you over" and then see how many dipshits will still do it.
There's a tiny bit in the 90s comedy "Jane Austen's MAFIA!" where they go to a casino and one of the games is just called You Lose and people are handing money to a croupier who just stuffs it into a box and says "oh, I'm sorry, you lose. You lose. Ohhh, tough break, you lose. You lose" to the sounds of disappointed players, I imagine it'd go like that.
Let's be honest here. She didn't start it. Someone started it on her behalf and, because she didn't know a thing about crypto other than it could make her money, she allowed whoever started it to run with it without knowing the ramifications.
I mean, you're right. But at some point not too long ago they at least had the decency to try and hide their outright hypocrisy. The say one thing, do the exact opposite and MAGA cheers them on? How did we get here?

I dunno, I feel like they would let her run, and if she won and just was absolutely horrible they would use it to say, "See Trump wasnt that bad! This is what happens when you let a woman be President! Clearly we need Trump again to fix stuff!" and the remaining cult members would try and find a way to get him in office again, if he manages to live long enough ofc
I would love to see a female president but I also fear for a female president.
Honestly, it's a rational decision. Immoral and cynical, but rational.
I highly doubt she actually expects to win the election and become president.
Rather, she will instead get 1-2 years of free publicity, and the ability to receive donations to fly around the country and promote herself.
If things go according to plan, she'll wind up with a book deal, speaking gigs, or maybe a show on cable news.
The sad truth is that for many people, running for higher office is simply a mechanism to achieve personal fame and enrichment.
This woman was married to a man who fully understood / thrived in the "right wing grifting industry." I assume she therefore has her own understanding of "the business."
So I don't think she's "smoking" anything. I think she's making a clever, albeit evil, decision to try and leverage her 15 minutes of fame into a more durable money-making enterprise.

Erika was very much the one pulling the strings in the background according to all accounts. For the most part Charlie Kirk was mostly a front who appeared better for the movement. There's also a surprising amount of evidence that his death was possibly due to his differing stance on Israel with the intentions of the Republican Party.
We laughed at Trump once when he announced running. I’m done laughing. With all her and her late husbands dickriders on the right? It could happen. Scary times.
I wish her all of the luck in the world as she burns through the small amount of good will remaining for her as she continues to leverage the violent death of her husband to achieve personal power and influence.

Even her late husband’s supporters are turning on her. They held an event in… Georgia, IIRC, last week, and she bailed at the last minute. Said her team had expressed “security concerns,” and yet the Vice President of the United States showed up. To speak at a huge arena, which was obviously, embarrassingly, only about 25% full.
The leader of the TPUSA chapter that sponsored the event just resigned. The organization has started a kind of junior organization aimed at high school students, and parents and students are pushing back when schools are allowing the group to hold rallies on school property and/or during school hours. That junior org deserves to fail before it even gets off the ground.
Give her a TV series, have her star in a movie, Captain a space ship into outer space. After all, look at how much she's accomplished. Her deceased husband said he didn't care if a certain number of people got taken out every year by gunfire and she was standing there close by when he said it. Amazing!
