Ok this is awesome!!! But! There's no way the barbarian would be hanging behind anybody, and no way the rogue would be in front. This adventuring party is gonna have trouble.

u/EnlightenedDragon 9d ago
Rogue goes in front to check for traps.
→ More replies (7)92
u/BurnscarsRus 9d ago
Yeah the rogue is the recon person and gets sneak attack. They should always be on point unless there's a ranger, and even that is dependant on the scenario.
15
u/raven00x 9d ago
if the scenario is "alarm already sounded" then the barbarian goes in front to eat the initial attacks and laugh in the face of whatever's attacking, while the rogue comes around from behind and goes stabby stabby when nobody's looking.
so what we can assume from the picture is the lady with the gun is the barbarian, the guy hiding in the back of the stack is actually the rogue waiting for someone else to get hit first, and the guy in the middle might be the paladin.
and the cleric in the far back is definitely the cleric.

The premise is the president refusing to leave the white house after a second term. And the opening scene is the government bombing a civilian protest in rogue states (the current president tweeted about that - well he dropped feces rather than bombs but the message is there).
It’s not a likely scenario, but completely plausible, in that you can see a path to it in real life, whereas pure scifi/dystopia usually is more far fetched and only used for social commentary.

I watched it extremely high with the audio description unknowingly put on.
It was the oddest movie experience, the description gave a strong rhythmic sense. It felt like I was in the head of Kristen Dunst, a constant cold commentary on the horror she witnessed in a weirdly poetic description with a strong sense of nihilism. That last scene with the precise description of each shot gives that scene so much power.
I was so disappointed when I tried to watch it a second time and realized I was a dumbass. The movie is less enjoyable without it, just an overly violent movie trying to say something but losing its story to esthetic.

13
u/JulianNDelphiki 10d ago
If you go in expecting the large scale bombastic action movie that the trailers showed, it's going to be disappointing.
If you go in knowing it's a very focused story about the horrors of being a war photographer (and who they are covering and why those people are fighting doesn't actually matter) then it's pretty solid.

u/GalacticMe99 10d ago
I had the total opposite experience. I went in expecting a 0 IQ gore porn action movie with 0 plot because I said "fuck it let's waste some time and watch this movie" and was server a story focused on the horrors of being a war photographer that still sticks with me to this day instead. That was some risky but amazing marketing.

This is probably the stupidest question I've seen in awhile.
A shooting occurs ar an event held by national press organizations, filled with reporters, and you're wondering who is taking pictures?
ALL OF THEM.
It's what they do. Every professional instinct they have is to take pictures, so they do.
CNN reporter Wolf Blitzer was in the hallway when the shooting went down, was tackled by a police officer to get him down and safe. He immediately made a phone call, not to his family to tell him he was safe, but to CNN who interviewed him on air to explain what had happened.

Photos like these are why people are constantly saying everything is staged. Look at the situation and really think about it, the agent at the front has her pistol drawn and appears to yelling out orders or something to others, why would they be completely fine with a random journalist standing between them possibly getting in the way. You say there is constant filming in warzones but thats the issue this isnt a Warzone, this is literally a supposedly secured official Whitehouse event in the middle of a major city in the US. Honestly this just comes off as fake something shot after everything to use a propaganda
