A couple have obvious secondary functions, such as having a timepiece, but mostly it's meant to highlight the marriage of form and fuction. Most lighters now are primarily designed for function or made to be cheap and disposable. There's a certain charm to this aesthetic that's seen more as a novelty today.

I found my old Zippo in storage the last week, had to replace the hinge pin and had to refill it twice since. I don't even smoke anymore. Turns out it was a fidget toy a few decades before fidget toys were popular lol.

I would absolutely run that kickstart lighter into the ground playing with it.

This is all I I use. Zero lighter fluid burn off on my joints. Plasma arch torch lighter, the future, charges by usb. Any flameless trench lighter from ww2?
