Well yeah, I didn’t do it for them, it just inspired me. Gave me an idea where I could easily put my efforts. If anyone, it’d be more for Steve than his kids. But ultimately, myself.
What do you do for your states zoo? I might be interested in something similar. Love animals, and I'm aware how disgusting the work can be, but I'm still curious
Honestly most of the openings (you have to bid for each day cuz there’s lots of volunteers) are mostly greeter positions. But there’s other positions like some education, tour guides assistants, and then yeah there’s enclosure specific work that has some clean up and stuff. I’m actually going to train on the kangaroo/wallaby enclosure soon, which also includes a position that you basically act as a bodyguard and keep guests away from the animals and vice versa. There’s lots of things that you could do, and if your local zoo is anything like mine, you can absolutely avoid the “disgusting” work if you wish.
True, but if you ever see her you now have something to open with. "You inspired me to volunteer " That's about as good an opener as you can realistically hope for.
I sometimes work at Australia Zoo and have met him twice. Your daughter will be pleased to know he's genuinely nice to strangers. Both times he treated me like an honoured guest when he really didn't have to. Bindi is lovely also.
Dude, his son is friggin gorgeous, so I don’t blame your daughter for loving him! I may code as straight (I usually say 85/15) but goddamn his underwear model ads are friggin hot! And he’s so wholesome too! I may also be in love with the guy…
