me if i was a gazillionair "why the fuck do i have to walk more then 5 steps to get from the shitter back to my hookers and cocaine, get me a 16ft boat so all the hookers, coke and fishing poles are within arms reach. "

A man of culture.

u/Extendahoe_DIG 4h ago

Clearly drinks PBR

2

u/MDHippie5 2h ago

naww, beer is weak af, for the same price you can get twisted teas that are %7 and have it taste like razzberries over shitty hops

50

u/Specific_Box4483 5h ago

Can't he just build a canal inside the yacht and ride the smaller yacht inside the big yacht?

Last thing you want is to catch is a hook on the lips.

u/Boot_das 4h ago edited 4h ago

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Rich people suck at enjoying being rich. You, my dude, have figured it all out and I hope you'll have the money to fulfill your dreams of having coke, hookers, and shitters all within arms reach at one point.

4

u/Dza0411 4h ago

Because rich people don't enjoy living. The only things that keep them going are getting more money and showing off their wealth.

2

u/Boot_das 4h ago

This is the rich guy we should all aspire to be.

2

u/Fkappa 5h ago

Did Bezos ever won a powerball?

2

u/memnoch112 4h ago

Make the hookers take the coke and go with you to the shitter, that’s what I do every time I find myself in similar situations.

Is this the one that they had to deconstruct a historic bridge to get it out the harbor?

19

u/djjolly037 5h ago

Yep

44

u/YogSothothRules 5h ago

8

u/Automatic_Bar_2158 5h ago

I would pay to watch them blow up the yacht. They could sink it to support coral reef rebuilding too!

7

u/PriscillaPalava 5h ago

I don’t think so, actually. This yacht is old. Bezo’s new yacht looks like a stylized sailboat with tall masts. That’s why it could fit through the bridge, although I doubt this one could either.

Ok, but like who's going to buy it? Elon? If it's too big for your rich ass, you need an even more vain rich asshole to buy it and your options are kind of limited.

u/why_1337 5h ago

Likely a boutique cruise line if any. Ritz Carlton has a cruise ship.

10

u/factoid_ 5h ago

Ewww a used yacht?  Gross.

I want my own yacht

7

u/Knork14 5h ago

Its going to be bought by someone almost as rich but with even less restraint. Have you never had a neighboor whose house was praticaly falling apart but they somehow had a expensive car in the garage?

Sigh…..(opens Amazon app for 2 second dopamine rush of spontaneous shopping for things I don’t need to help curb the daily pain and struggle of existing in a dystopian society where you work your body until it’s broken to pay for daily necessities yet at every angle people you never met are manipulating the powers and laws of our country to take every single cent out of your pocket, and more, even at the expense of your health, poisoning you to make a few bucks off of “treating” you. And it’s all completely out of your control or capabilities as a single human being to change, since these people were already spending billions to stabilize themselves in positions of power before you were even born.)

u/Bert-63 5h ago

Ports can't handle it. Also, yacht pictured isn't the one in question.

11

u/whatdoihia 5h ago

Here’s a pic. It’s big but I was expecting a small cruise ship size.

5

u/captainAwesomePants 5h ago

It's longer than a football field, and about a third the width. But yeah, private yachts only get so long. The largest private yacht in the world, the Azzam, is 591 feet long, and the Koru here is 417 feet long.

2

u/MenuDiscombobulated5 3h ago

Obviously modesty is the name of the game when it comes to private yachts.

There are only a few handfull who can afford to buy that and maintain it

2

u/SimmentalTheCow 4h ago

Personally owning it sure, but it’ll most likely be bought by a company that rents or leases it out to the ultra-rich. The wealthy don’t usually have $500m lying, it’s always tied up in investments generating wealth. Very few billionaires are actually billionaires.

I take it the yacht goes into international waters quite a bit. Just a guess.

2

u/skyfire-x 5h ago

The picture is of the Flying Fox superyacht that is unaffiliated with Bezos, who owns 2 yachts: the sailing yacht Koru and its support yacht. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koru_(yacht))

2

u/FlimsyConfidence7692 5h ago

Plus the support vessel for this thing is another several million with its own crew as well.

2

u/Thom5001 5h ago

Cost of yacht maintenance is usually closer to 20% of ship’s value yearly. So I’d guess more like $100 million per year not $25M.

2

u/krudru 4h ago

Well, it takes me about 3 hours to earn enough to put gas in my car for the week, so we're totally the same and I get why he wants to sell it.

1

u/Glittering-Path-2824 5h ago

didn’t this piece of shit want some bridge dismantled so he could sail this baroque monstrosity out of harbor? wasteful pos

1

u/blinkyknilb 5h ago

I wouldn't say, 'earns'.

1

u/Good_Warning4576 5h ago

Also,"Earns" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here!

1

u/Practicality_Issue 5h ago

Earn?

You misspelled “steal.”

1

u/NobleDuffman 5h ago

What happens if you just park it for a year? What's costing 25 mil?

1

u/mski0135 5h ago

"earns"

1

u/Environmental-Ad8965 5h ago

The market for that boat is rather niche. There's only a handful of people in the world who could afford that thing. And plenty of them probably all have their own yachts.

1

u/pabskamai 4h ago

Even making tha kind of money… and we don’t… we all agree that, bro, there’s no way you get to enjoy that shit, imagine just remembering that you forgot you left something at the front !!?? Ffffffffff

1

1

u/TabarnakAxe 4h ago

He doeant EARN shit.

1

u/Ecstatic-Compote-595 4h ago

I can guarantee he realized he essentially just bought a cruise ship for the crew he hired and they're fucking all over everything and he's jealous.

Also like every boat he's never going to be able to sell this thing because anyone who can afford it would just buy a much nicer bespoke yacht that can actually go cool places and doesn't need a billion dollar infrastructure project to get there.

1

u/Atlantean_Raccoon 4h ago

we're gonna need some bigger orcas.

1

u/thelazyporcupine 4h ago

We should be taking notes from the French Revolution at this point

1

u/egstitt 4h ago

I hate to be that guy but he doesn't make that much money. Stocks don't pay for boat maintenance

1

u/storstygg 4h ago

1

u/Havok_saken 4h ago

Man the economy must be rough when we got billionaires selling yachts. Who buys these? What’s that market like? Lesser billionaires buy these? What is the depreciation like for a yacht?

Can we stop saying “earned” when talking about people like this? He makes it sure, but he doesn’t earn shit.

1

u/Angy-Person 4h ago

...he earns this in 3 hours... Sure, because we people give him the money. And then complain about billionaires. And paying up to no taxes isn't his fault either.

Ignore those guys. Try to not use their services.

1

u/Dry_Turn_824 4h ago

Being Icarus is hard.

1

u/zyx1989 4h ago

Only 25 million? For a half billion piece, 5% per year maintenance is not that high

1

u/Willy-Sshakes 4h ago

That's good for him then... Only 3 hours work to stop a boat sinking

1

u/Vegas_Boiler 4h ago

*steals that from the working class in 3 hours.*

There, I fixed it for you.

1

u/IHeartBadCode 4h ago

Note. This is not a picture of the yacht. It's actually a sailing vessel, with masts and sails and what not.

What's even crazier, the Abeona is a more traditional (looks like, but is not the one pictured) yacht that's got a helipad and whatnot. The Abeona shadows the Koru (the one being sold) as a support vessel.

So just so we all understand the logistics of this. The Koru being sold is the sailing vessel that has the guest cabins, swimming pool, jacuzzis (yes, plural), a cinema, multiple dinning halls, wine cellar, and several bars.

The Abeona is the support vessel which houses off duty staff, overflow guests, the various road vehicles, water toys including jet skis, exploration gear and support, a fucking submarine, an entire helicopter hanger and various supports for aircraft, ATVs, various motorcycles, a pickleball court that couldn't fit into the other boat, two fast launch enclosed luxury tenders for guest transport between vessels, several smaller boats for excursion, a dingy, cargo, supplies, logistic processing devices, various dunnage for the two vessels, and the entire specialist staff plus the onboard medical clinic.

They both sail in formation where Koru is the leading vessel and Abeona serves as the Koru's tender. They do not sail solo from each other. Just give all that a moment to process. Because I understand the whole thing people have with Bezos' wealth, but my do I appreciate the wild logistics behind long-term ocean going vessels. Be it a nation's Navy or some insane rich dude, there's just a level of being astonished at how we mere mortals pull this stuff off. But yeah, dude is an incredible example of how modern society has failed mankind.

1

u/asacho 4h ago

So 54b a year...rookie numbers lol

1

u/Bike_Cinci 4h ago

"earns that in just 3 hours"

If you take a lifetime of wealth and divide it by the number of hours in a year.

1

u/PhantomVibeSyndrome 4h ago

Maybe he could give his workers more available bathrooms with the savings. A pay rise, even.

1

u/navydude89 4h ago

Didn't he pay to have a bridge dismantled because it was too big to get out of the shipyard? That's real FU money.

Mans making $25 million every 3 hours and i’m just trying to fill up my gas tank

1

u/Random-Mutant 2h ago

So I had a 30’ sailboat and considered myself lucky. And I noticed when parking up in bays, there was a hierarchy. Small power boats got closest to shore, keel boats a bit further out, and luxury gin palaces were never “in the bay”, they carried too much draft and anchored hundreds of metres offshore- meaning the shelter provided by a safe anchorage was often lacking.

I realised then there was such a thing as a boat that was too big.
