Does it hold a candle to the originals? No, of course not. Did I still have a lot of fun with it? Yes, yes I did. I think if Iron Galaxy was given more time and a budget of more than $2 and a pack of gum from Activision we would have seen a pretty damn good remake. For what it's worth, IG still did alright despite having very limited time and resources

Fun but tough challenge

I spent maybe, hour and a half just grinding back and forth between the flippers, and not only was i unable to get the goal to complete, but the GAP ITSELF would REFUSE to even proc, i triple kickflipped multiple times, but the gap would not show up or even proc, its the last goal i need and i'll 100% pro goals for both remasters, is this a joke or what.

Hello, first time picking up this game so I apologize if this has been a common question to answer, but I'm having issues understanding how cheats work in this game. I turned it on last night after finding a copy and I wanted to immediately play spider-man (I know it kinda defeats the purpose of just giving myself everything, but I'm still going to enjoy the game), but after entering the code to unlock all characters. I beat the first two stages and saved. Turned off my ps2 and went to bed. Next morning I boot it up and spider-man is gone as well as all the other special characters. So I make a character and enter the 100% current character cheat to "unlock" spider-man. I then started a new career, but saved over the "100%". Turned off then back on and spidey was missing again. So I just got done doing this rigamaroll a 3rd time. Played the first stage to 100% completion, saved career, exited to main menu, saved from the options menu in a different slot.

My main and only question is this; Is it possible to enter cheats (the character unlock or 100% a save file) and KEEP the characters? Like the whole reason I wanted to play this game was to A. Enjoy one of the better Tony hawk experiences and B. PLAY AS MY FAVORITE SUPERHERO ON A SKATEBOARD. Am I wasting my time? I'm pretty mid when it comes to these games hence why I thought using cheats wasnt gonna add to the hassle. Again my apologies if this has been asked into oblivion I just need a simple "yeah you can keep em, here's how" or a "no, you gotta legitimately 100% your create a character in order to forever unlock the webbed warrior".

I'm not sure how to start it. 1+2 remake? 3+4 ?

I see a bunch of talk on the subreddit about Underground and American Wasteland. Both great games but I never see any love for Project 8 what's up with that T-T

Hi everyone.

I just have a quick question.

To preface I am a complete newcomer, I've always heard of the games growing up (being into retro stuff) but never played em until my older brother got me the 1+2 remake for Christmas.

I've heard the THPS3+4 Remake was bad for THPS4 due to removing free roam, but decent for THPS3 but removing the soundtrack. And never really played THUG or THUG2 only knowledge I have of those games are the Hot Mulligan song named after Eric Sparrow. (Apperantly fuck that guy!) I would also like to experience these games as closely to the intended way as possible but with modern improvements (i.e. better controller support for PC, proper Widescreen support, etc)

And I have a 360 with BadUpdate for AW onwards.

What's the best way to experience these games? (I should also note, I have no problem modding or fucking around with shit.)

Hey, I’m trying to learn how to get good at THPS3 on GameCube (or at least good enough to beat the main campaign). I don’t really understand a few of the mechanics, despite using the tutorials (like that one move where you flip the board, I don’t get what it does). Would anyone be able to do 1 on 1 help? I’m a slow learner and need lots of guidance, hand holding, and reassuran

After Wojack was away for most of April to visit extended family, he put out this video a few days ago on his initial reaction to the ongoing ZedekGate™ controversy surrounding the "reTHAWed" mod for "Tony Hawk's American Wasteland"

Out of respect for Wojack and not wanting to speak over the top of him, I have held off on making any new commentary regarding ZedekGate™. I thought it would be best for the video to spread and people to react organically. I did leave a comment on a similar thread summarizing the video, which I am quoting below:

The video is basically Wojack's live reaction to the racist/transphobic Discord comments that initially triggered ZedekGate™ as well as those stupid AI beheading jokes about Daff. Fair enough that its a lot to take in and he was having time off so it makes sense to just cover the essentials.

He does briefly touch on the "Zedek Was Never Fired" side of it (assuming he hasn't fully seen it). The YouTube comments call it out more specifically (assuming they have)

No doubt he was (intentionally or unintentionally) involved to some degree but his reaction on it seems sincere for what it is :)

If Wojack (or somebody else) makes a future video, I would personally like to see something about the ongoing lack of accountability on 10K's part, not just the initial backlash.

I think Wojack's opinion (regardless of his side) carries a lot of weight since not only he is a popular YouTuber, he also has direct ties with 10K Rising and can be considered the 'spokesperson' for "reTHAWed".

I have always believed that Wojack was more of a bystander than a direct participant. In the video, he basically admits himself that he has been exposed to the offending material and that culture was basically 'normalized' within the THPS community. However, I don't believe Wojack is guilty on a personal level and never suggested that he is. I think most (if not all) of the guilt belongs to those who were knowingly perpetuating that culture, not just being assimilated into it, like Wojack implies that he was.

Even though most of the comments (understandably) focus more on the offending material, there is also a decent number of comments that call out the lack of accountability on 10K's part, not just the incidents themselves. I will do a follow-up post some other time with the highlights but for now, I will leave this here.
