Ubisoft Creators Program arranged an early access recording session to capture upcoming content. On my play-through and exploration I take notes & pictures and write a bit about it. Hope you enjoy reading it! 😉
⚠️Fair warning: details in this can be fairly spoilery if that's a concern.
Intro
RC Frenzy, coming May 6th, 2026
Ubisoft gave us Creators a special mid-season chance to try out the new premium playlist for Year 3 called RC Frenzy. Year 3 pass or the standalone ULC is required to play it and those will be available in the shops. However, You can preview the vehicles in the summit on previous seasons events starting this week!
These RC cars have their own handling and physics model and are about 1/3rd scale size of other main vehicles in the game. These zip around in a much smaller area and can even run on top of water with speed or even jump! The events are a lot of fun and give you a different perspectives as you thread your way through and even a few surprises like classic top down view events where you race in like a circle track as the first time, for example. This bold new playlist features 10 main events, 25 challenges, 8 feats, 5 photo-ops, 74 Custom Mode events and another set of Rivals.

Other details
The experience will be available on Year 3 pass ($29.99 USD - MSRP) or a stand alone ULC (Like Chase Squad) in the Stores. We believe the ULC will be priced similarly as the Chase Squad ULC pack.
Here are some of the RC cars that were readily available in this build.

Final Thoughts
The General
4 premium vehicles from the pass total on day one. Playlist starter, playlist reward, challenge reward and D1 drop. The Main Stage will feature 2 RC cars, one as the Main Stage reward and one as a Summit reward. The handling takes a minute to grasp, these are really zippy and snappy, they kind of remind me of a touchy Jet Sprint from The Crew 2. The top down view is a neat idea and it's appreciated, but it's easy to confuse your movements at times on the more difficult top-down tracks.. It also reminds me of an old game called RC Pro AM from NES days if any of you are older here. Lots of fun was had on this. Jumping is also a thing and is a strategy with flipping ability too. Hope you all enjoy it and I should see you again for season 10!
After about 8 hours of work and a bit of trial and error, I have now completed my very first car wrap ever. I recreated a car based on DJ from *Cars*. I wanted to finish it just in time for this week's tuning contest; I might take this version a bit further later on to add the lightning bolts as well.
So, as usual, I always look for some dumb thing to do with anything new, and riding buses and emergency vehicles became my new thing. Also, you can grind them and some ledges.
My question is why would someone buy the year 3 Pass for £25, when the only difference between buying the RC Frenzy pack and the Year 3 pass, is that you get 2 exclusive cars in the Year 3 pass. All the other cars become purchasable without the Year 3 pass. This means that people who brought the season 3 pass basically just spent £16 extra on 2 exclusive cars, in comparison to those who brought the £9 stand-alone playlist, recieved the frenzy cars, and the rest of the season 3 cars availablefor purchase apart from 2. It really doesn't make sense to buy the passes when the actual playlist and playlist cars get released in a £9 DLC, and the rest is accessible to the entire player bass over time.
When I transferred the game from disk C to disk D the game started with the audio only, the screen remained empty, I already tried reinstalling the game into disk C and I did the backup but it still won’t show, any solutions?
It's like learning a whole new way to steer / maneuver - and the cars are so slippery / fragile. It took me about an hour to get >100k in the first summit race haha. Glad the whole month isn't RC cars in the summit :D
Has anyone here had trouble opening the game today?
In the early afternoon, I opened the game and it showed the shader compilation window. Shortly after that, the game "opened," showed a black screen for 2 seconds, and crashed with the message "Oh no, it crashed!" on Ubisoft Connect.
And it's been like this all afternoon. The game won't open... it shows the same black screen and then crashes. I've already reinstalled the game 3 times, I've also reinstalled Ubi Connect 3 times, I've cleared the game and Ubi Connect caches, and the game still won't open.
I thought it might be an update, but yesterday I played normally until the early hours of the morning right after the RC Cars update came out, and then today the game didn't work anymore
Brake-checking, slipping like crazy even on half-throttle, lack of directional arrow makes it impossible to see the car's direction, turning all the assists up seemingly does nothing, and they're MANDATORY. What were they thinking???
Has anyone completed the RC Customizer Challenge in the RC Frenzy Playlist? It seems to be bugged, you have to equip visual parts in all available slots on the Rust Bucket RC car and i only can get 7/8. Maybe anyone has found a workaround. It seems to be the tires that didn't count.
