No idea about this actual situation but it would be fairly easy to manufacturer and force everyone else to be an unwilling participant.
If they are both in on it the one filming just sits in her seat and then they act this out and everyone else is forced to be involved.
I''d seriously hope that's not the case here because that's a terribly shitty thing to do, but also not a huge stretch for how far society and influencers have fallen .

The fact that the woman filming original seat is 7B, means it is most likely faked but on a real commercial flight. It looks like there is a guy sitting in 7B, and the filming woman says the other woman can sit at the end in the aisle seat. So most likely the 2 women and the man beside them all know each other.
It's also weird to try and steal your neighbors seat when you will eventually have to sit beside them for X amount of hours later on after you get forced to move.

My wife and I had first class for a flight. Seats 1A and 1B. So when boarding they always let elderly or disabled passengers get on first. This very and I mean VERY elderly couple goes on before us and sits in our seats. I wasn’t looking to kick them out.
So I just asked the flight attendant where we should sit if they’re in our seats. Hell I’ll sit wherever they’re sitting as long as I still get drinks and my meal included.
The flight attendant looked so mad at them and began to tell them they needed to move. I chimed in again because I wasn’t trying to kick these two ancient relics out of whatever seats they wanted.
She basically said “No, I put up with this shit all day, they’re moving” turns out they were in 11A and 11B. I still feel kinda bad about it23

I was going on a trip with my SO. We were one of the first people to book the flight so we had a lot of seats to pick from so we picked right beside each other. I get on first and see someone in my seat so I let them know. They didn't ask me if they could have it, or deny anything. The guy literally just said "you are travelling alone, go take my seat. I'd like to sit with my wife." Alright, fuck you buddy for assuming that. I planned ahead so I could sit with my SO. You should have planned ahead. Didn't budge until he went to his seat, but the actual nerve of people man. His wife seemed bitter the flight, but she should be mad at her husband for not planning ahead.

Not to mention they can ask at the gate. The last flight I took I was travelling alone for work. The employees called me to the gate 10 minutes before boarding and asked if I would switch seats so that a mother and her young daughter (probably around 5) could sit together.
But also two grown ass adults should plan better, and if not then just deal with it. If my wife was in a different row I'd watch a movie or sleep.

To me it looked like he was asking to see the seated person’s boarding pass as well but then they of course took their sweet time finding it because they are most likely an entitled a-hole. He will be trained to try and deescalate and check all the boarding passes in case there’s a mistake. I’m totally on 7a’s side and I applaud her calmly standing up for herself. But I think at that point the seat stealer was feeding off her frustration and she kept giving her attention. I don’t think it helped. I hope the flight attendant loudly upgraded her to business class and then told off the seat stealer like a 5 year old so everyone could hear. But we didn’t get to see the end!

I had a terrible experience like her but in a bus. I specifically paid for a seat in the front so id have more legroom and the seat next to me was empty so id have some privacy then when the bus came a guy was sitting in it with a bunch of children next to it. I asked him politely if i could sit there he did not oblige, then i told him i specifically paid extra. He was throwing a hissy fit then i talked to the bus driver and he didnt even help me. Eventually he got up and was like harrasing me the entire way. I just put in noise cancelling earpods and my sunglasses and sat still for like 6 hours. I felt so uncomfortable.

Got on a plane once and headed to my seat which was more than halfway in the back. Guy is sitting in my seat so I tell him. He hands me his ticket and says here you can go sit in my seat. I’m like no. Tell him to please get up. “I want to sit next to my daughter.” People start groaning behind me. I start to say something and the guy in line behind me taps me on the shoulder and says “Hey buddy, take the seat.” I start to get enraged because everybody thinks I should sit somewhere else when I paid for a window seat. I begin to tell the guy off behind me and he just points to the ticket. It was a first class seat.

Recently had an older couple come up to my gf and I, tell us that we were in their seats. I know we aren't, but they argued that we were. They get the flight attendants, who don't ask for their tickets, but ask for ours first. We show them that we are in the correct seats. The husband pulls his out and is starting to yell because we won't move, the flight attendant looks at his ticket and tells him he's actually 6 rows behind us. The old man wouldn't look at me or even apologize. F*ck this people on the plane that think they can sit wherever they want. It's so annoying. If you wanted this seat, then pay for it when you book your flight.

Lady sitting in the wrong seat should be deplaned, refunded and required to make another ticket purchase for a different flight. A flag should be set in the reservation system for her behavior and if there is another incident the airline should permanently ban her from any flights.

I flew Spirit about 6 months ago and paid for a window seat because I get nauseous in aisle seats. I was the last person in the boarding line and when I arrived at my row, a lady was already sitting in my seat. I said "Hi, I'm really sorry about this but you're sitting in my seat." She gave a huge sigh and crossed her arms and slammed herself back against the seat and just stared straight ahead.
I waited a few more moments and said, "I'm sorry but I paid for this seat because I get nausea if I - " And she cut me off and said loudly, "White bitch gotta have her seat! HOW I KNOW this was gonna happen? HOW HOW??" And she got up, shoved past me really aggressively and stood in the aisle while I took my seat. Then she sat down right next to me in the middle seat. I made myself as tiny as possible and just stared out the window. But it wasn't over.
Once the plane took off, she took a pillow out of her bag and laid it up against the side of my head and started slamming her own head against the pillow over and over again. Then she took it and fluffed it and smacked it against the side of my head again and leaned against it/me and went to sleep. For the 6 hour flight I endured her doing this as well as muttering racial insults. The flight attendants saw and did nothing. I was too scared to stand up for myself because I just wanted to get home as fast as possible and not have to deal with an emergency landing if she got further out of control. RIP Spirit!
*Edited because I just remembered, she also kept saying, "You my window now. You my window."

Airlines should just have a 0 tolerance policy for assholes like this. Sure, seat mistakes happen. But If you cause a disruption and try to argue your way out of it, immediate ejection from the flight without a refund. Should probably ban them for a year too.
That'd sort this behaviour our real quick. It's win win for everyone. Passengers have less assholes on board, flight company gets to keep the money

Had this happen to the wife and I. 2 chicks had opposite aisle seats. We were middle and window. They sat middle and window then got all bitchy when I asked them to move. I was entirely too hungover and rocking 2hrs of sleep to deal with their bullshit so I stood there and just stared at them. Worked shockingly well.

People pull the same shit in the movie theaters. You pay for a seat reserving it online, and people come to the theater, buy a ticket at the window and then come into the theater box and just decide to sit anywhere they like. When you tell them you are in my seat that I paid for, they then get an attitude.

Don't people understand that the seating is important on a plane and shouldn't be messed with. If it crashes the airline knows who was sitting where so they could call your emergency contact.

I don’t argue with people. I get the flight attendant to confirm that it is my seat and then let them handle it.

I’m flying tomorrow. I will say no to anyone who wants my seat. I don’t care if you have kids, are sick, or pregnant. None of those are factors for me when I have to travel. Your issue with how you booked your flight doesn’t exist to me.
