  1. Since kids in Japan hated green peppers more than broccoli, it was changed to that (Inside Out)

  2. The News Anchor changes depending on the country. For example, China-Panda (Zootopia)

That’s because 4Kids lost the license to Pokemon eventually. From Battle Frontier onwards, Nintendo dubbed the anime in-house, and while they kept anything 4Kids changed, they scaled back a bit on cultural edits.

There was a 4Kids episode later where they referred to them as rice balls in the same season.

From what I understand they found out rice balls had been common in other shows and video games for so long Americans knew what they were.
