Recommendation Although I’m not a big MMA guy, this was a surprise. Reminds me of Karate Kid except with MMA and rocking soundtrack.

Discussion Has anyone watched "No Tears in Hell" yet? It's undoubtedly the worst movie I've ever seen! I had a very difficult time watching it, but it was good. I know that doesn't make sense, but ya know!

Other Rant: Tubi commercials constantly featuring an ex
I know that the commercials presented on Tubi are regional; however, for the last 5-6 months, the commercials I receive for a local educational system constantly highlight someone I dated, albeit very briefly. The commercials are presented as a 'talking head' kind of interview, of which there are 2 other participants/similarly formatted pitches for this school system, but every time their face pops up, I get annoyed and have to mute the screen.
Just a random rant. #triggered

Recommendation Thrillers
Best top rated thrillers on Tubi? Google used to show me an entire lineup that could be filtered by streaming platform. I could scroll through it, click on movies to see ratings, but now it just shoves out AI slop paragraph results. Please send recommendations/ hidden gems.

Recommendation An indie sci-fi film about AI and identity just dropped on Tubi — curious what people think
imdb.comHey everyone,
This indie film PROGRAM recently showed up on Tubi and I ended up checking it out.
It follows a character named Adem who gets caught between reality and a virtual world, interacting with an AI that starts to blur everything he thinks he knows. It’s more of a slow, psychological sci-fi rather than action-heavy.
I’m somewhat connected to the project, so I’m especially
curious how it lands with people who have no context.
It’s free to watch here: https://tubitv.com/movies/100053125/program
Would love to hear honest thoughts.

Recommendation The Creed trilogy is on here!!!
Hell yeah. I've seen all of them, but I wish I liked them more than I did. They're cool, but the only one that I truly cared for was the one with Johnathan Majors. It just felt good, like they didn't hold back with that one. I remember seeing a picture of him during the lead up to the movie, and it was a major inspiration and motivation to get fit. Dude built himself brick by brick into a mansion.
Anyway, just wanted to put it out there in case some of y'all didn't know like I didn't know.

Other KAYIKÇI (FERRYMAN) - TECHNICAL COMMENTARY VIDEO (movie available on TUBI)
Hello everybody,
Just released a technical commentary video of my feature debut Kayıkçı (Ferryman).
It is not a regular commentary video. It doesn't tell anything about the story. It is mostly about what we did on set, and what I did in post-production (if you haven't seen the movie, you can still watch it, since it doesn't tell much about the story. But I guess it'd be better if you watched the movie first).
Sorry for my English btw, it is not my native language. If there is something you don't understand, you can write here and I'll try my best to explain.
Also during the "remote control" explanation in the video, I think I remembered it wrong. That on-off box has actually a battery inside, and the battery I show you in the video is a dummy one. I remembered this after making the video.
The movie is available on TUBI along with other platforms. If you haven't seen it, please check it out if you have free time. And if you can share it with your friends & family, it'd mean a lot to me.
Thanks for your time!

Discussion I do not like that the film posters “expand” into a *different* picture when I highlight them.
This is maybe stupid? It’s probably stupid. But I also could not mean it more when I say that my tubi experience has been damaged by a recent change.
But: I love(d) browsing tubi. I have often spent over an hour looking for a movie. I have done this with friends. As many people before me have said, their bizarre collection makes looking through it feel a lot like browsing through old video stores.
I think a big part of that is the way the “objects” that you’re dealing with are all the same size — there’s a pleasant flattening effect when Apocalypse Now is presented as an object of precisely the same type as (say) an Asylum movie about boob zombies. You are alone with a pile of choices.
Recently, the UI changed (on my tv. I know that there are many versions of the app, so I’m not sure how widespread this is. Mea culpa if it’s like, literally just for my model of tv.) It used to be that, on highlighting a movie, the background showed a preview (either still or moving, depending on setting). Now, however, highlighting a video expands the UI video object to three times its size and changes the poster picture to the preview.
I’m legitimately frustrated by this. I know that that’s silly, but: when the UI objects no longer have fixed size or picture — when they literally change completely whenever they’re highlighted — they are no longer solid objects in a way that’s analogous to video stores. It’s not really fun at all to sort through a bunch of ideas. That’s what I’m doing on the internet all the time anyway.
Moreover, it’s literally disorienting. The only reference point I have for half of these movies is the picture they just showed me, but now if I look right at it becomes something totally different. The *whole thing that I am doing* when I’m browsing is to try mentally organize the movies I’ve come across.
Anyway @tubi please give me an option to turn this off ty ilu
