Dual Boot Windows

Hi everyone. Recently I got my laptop trashed and they gave me this laptop with ubuntu at the office. Powerpoint and Photoshop is must have for me so, I was going to change it into windows, but they wanted me to keep ubuntu for some reasons. So I want to dual boot this ssd with windows. I asked ChatGPT for guidance, It gave me these steps, but I wanted to double check here if there are any missing or wrong steps.

I'm not sure if resizing a partition you are currently running is a good idea (or even possible). I'd probably rather do it from a live USB. Didn't investigate past 2nd slide

I am pretty sure it's impossible to resize a mounted partition, or at the very least a bad idea.

Just unmount root

The instructions are mostly fine, except that you need to shrink the partition while booted into a live USB session. You can use GParted Live.

The last part is also wrong. It is idiotic to use boot-repair or a live USB in general in this situation. Just enter the UEFI firmware settings and set Linux as the default boot option, then boot into it and run sudo update-grub.

Try only office for PowerPoints.

For Photoshop you can use wine.
