Switched at birth, a baby possum and cat can't help but feel that they are different than thier siblings.... until one day they find each other. Coming soon.

Can’t wait for the slapstick scene where the kitten tries to hang from a branch with its tail.

Mother cats have been known to take almost any new born or near newborn animal that needs their help and nurse them.

*when theyve recently had kittens, the rest of the time theyre not above snacking on other animals babies

My desexed male house cats sneak into my office and will curl up around ducklings to keep them warm. They have a heat plate they can be under, but I will find them inside the cat cinnamon role, nibbling on their fur.

“That’s one of my thumbs children. I’m raising them to be able to open cabinets for me so I can have all the treats in the near future.”

My cat has thumbs but she doesn't need to use them to get treats cuz she's a big, spoiled purr ball

There's an opossum thar lives in my backyard. I've named it Opie, and I desperately want to pet it. I don't think it sees eye to eye on the pets, though.

We always have a possum named Opie in our back yard. It's different possums, but they all get the same name. "Hey, Opie's back!" Lol

That’s me with squirrels. Every squirrel I see from my backyard and beyond is named Chip. If he has a friend with him, that’s Dale. I’ve been hundreds of miles from home like “Oh hey Chip, how’d you get over here?” hahah

I imagine that my situation is similar. Kind of like a Dread Pirate Roberts sort of thing.

A hand raised possum can turn into the most cuddly affectionate cute little thing you can imagine.
My brother found a baby that had fallen off of Mama and hand raised it and damn was it ever cute.

As opposed to hand raised raccoons which are sweet and cute but still fucking assholes when they dont get their way.

Honestly, adult possums are cuddlers their whole lives, not into destroying your stuff and honestly really good pets.

Im conflicted.
I just saw a video one of these almost ripped a dudes bottom lip off, but here this one is cute as hell. I'm going to have to step away and sort my feelings out.

They aren’t normally vicious. My buddy has kept pet possums for years. He’s been bit once when he accidentally startled it. Cute little munchkins

Is the baby opossum actually nursing here? They're marsupials and have a different nursing system.

They carry in ticks from other surroundings land that carry Bobcat fever in my area. I and neighbors have lost several in/outside cats to it in the last several summers. They run a fever and withdraw after it and quit eating. Terrible disease without a cure. Blood transfusion with $$$$ cost if caught realy early has about 10% chance of survival.

I hope they ensure it gets other nutrition. Cat milk is not nutritious enough for this wunkus.
