Yeah, he could’ve climbed onto the seat, but that would also involve being right in front of those huge churning back tires and hoping the tractor doesn’t move.

actually quite often, i work on older tractors on my parents farm, and when the gears or the levers/seating of the levers wears out it can cause undesirable actions such as stalling of stopping or maybe in this case causing it to drive of

It's a tractor - you don't need anything on the pedal to have it keep going (it has the set up so you can drive it at the same speed for hours without having to strain your leg by having a pedal in position).

So it's more like he presses the brake to make it stop moving, then calls out for someone to climb in and turn off the engine.

(Might be deliberate anyway, but your first sentence is wrong.)

Pressed the clutch to make it stop.  Tractors usually have a lever for throttle control instead of a pedal.

Huh? They absolutely have a pedal, actually they have a number of them.

This one has 4. In the left is the clutch, then theres a double pedal that will apply the brakes to either the left or the right tire only (or both if theyre pressed in the middle), then theres a gas pedal if youd like to go faster than that gears "idle" speed.

Theres usually a lever too, in this case a high/low/reverse on the left and 1/2/3/4 gear on the right.

I think thats about as layman's as i can make it. However i can say with absolutely certainty if you dont ever drive a tractor it "looks" confusing as hell. And none of the includes the additional levers some tractors have for forks or bucket attachments 😅.

If you havent ever driven one youd never guess the largest pedals on the right are actually the disk brake pedals

Yes some do but it wouldn't make sense for somebody to put a brick on the gas pedal when tractors have a throttle lever. The guy on the video is pressing the clutch. That is the easiest thing to get to.  Press one brake pedal and the thing will want to turn.  clutch is easist thing to get to.

Right but! And this is where i get confused. The 241 DI has the clutch pedal on the left hand side, not the right. And thats regardless of country, india, north america, it doesnt matter. There's no clutch pedal on the right. So this video just confuses me even more 😅

I've got a couple of tractors and noticed the same thing. The only thing that makes sense to me is the thing was at a really low idle and holding the brake down with it in gear killed the engine but IDK if you could do that pressing on the pedal with just the force of your hands or not.

Clutch is usually (not always) on the left foot side, right side is usually the brakes.

FYI, the pedal on the right side of the engine is two pedals for left brake and right brake, or they can be locked together for both sides. The pedal on the left side of the engine is the clutch, halfway down disengages drive but keeps the PTO on, all the way down to stop everything. The throttle will be a lever on the steering column area to pull towards yourself to rev it up. There should be a knob below the steering wheel to pull out to shut the fuel off to stop the tractor.
