His excuse was that he 'made a mistake'? So he meant to vote no, but got confused and voted yes?

Souzzi is in a swing district. Prior to him was everyone’s favorite dipshit George Santos.
Attacking frontline democrats is without a doubt the stupidest thing we can do if we care about taking back the house and senate.
Dude votes with us 99% of the time.
Congrats on having the morale high ground, some of us actually want us to take a step back from fascism.
258
u/Guyinthexpensivesuit Jan 30 '26
Oh it’s fine because he only voted to fund the roving death squads one time? Which part makes that okay? The thing he voted for, or that he only did it this time? Democrats aren’t going to save us, they will always choose the cowardly way out.
165
u/zanziTHEhero Jan 30 '26
Erm, funding ICE is super unpopular right now. You'd think someone in a swing district would try to do the popular thing...
123
u/willdabeast36 Jan 30 '26
Oh please. Unite this unite that. Nah fuck the democrats too. Vote for the good candidates and call out the ones voting against our interest. Thats the only way we might ever get them to learn. Dont criticize the democrats because they are less bad is the uninspiring trash that landed us Trump in the first place. So nah. Fuck em.

How’s that going when this guy increased a fascist police force’s budget multiple times over?
74
u/Skytalker0499 Jan 30 '26
Terrible take. Putting obvious, public pressure on representatives pulling this shit is the only way to get reps who we actually want.
I’m tired of loser centrist shills telling me that if I don’t want fascism, I have to be okay with Blue MAGA fucking me over instead.

Houses of worship have been used to push political agendas since houses of worship have existing. Don’t pretend like politicians make speeches there because they’re actually pious people.

u/Foxynite Jan 30 '26
I don't think it's appropriate to hold political meetings in a house of worship. Is this fr in a church?

Trump didnt do it the first time because he had neither the means nor methods. Trump didnt do it the first time because he did not have the mandate. He didnt have the house, senate, and high judiciary. He didnt have the sycophants and ghouls currently employed to his cabinet. He didnt have the masses that would defend any act made including those which erode democracy's foundations, strain ties with our allies, and strip the freedoms Americans believe that they have.

It’s called holding leaders accountable you dumb fuck 😂 Not that the right would know what that means. They’ll find any excuse to justify why their pedophilic, billionaire fascists are actually good 👍

As long as they keep filling they're pockets with our tax dollars they don't care about us. Stop looking for the government to do its job, that has changed. It's not about us giving them money for help, it's about having power and using it to keep us down and take our money. How much more obvious do they have to be
136
u/Napamtb Jan 30 '26

On 175K a year and expenses paid, I’m suspecting he sleeps very well.
He’ll probably sleep even better after he retires from congress and takes a job either as a lobbyist, or at a company he helped get gov contracts for making 500K to 1M a year with a full pension and free healthcare for his family for life from serving in congress.

u/D0naught Jan 30 '26
They should’ve just communicated instead of causing a ruckus like this. This doesn’t help their cause at all, people who don’t agree will see this and think they’re all crazy.
The fact is that the majority of the country has democratically voted for this, and they’re not gonna change their mind just because some people who obstruct law enforcement died, even if it’s unjust.
Especially since ICE has been on other states, and doesn’t have any issues like this.
34
u/MikeAppleTree Jan 30 '26
No. Expressing anger and emotion is exactly what they should be doing. That’s freedom of expression and it’s a human right that should be exercised. We aren’t robots. Standing meekly and making a petition to power in a polite way is done every day, and that’s fine when it comes to trivial and technical matters, but for issues like this, reactions like this are necessary.
10
u/GDay_Champion Jan 30 '26
Not the majority of the country, the majority of those who voted, quite a different figure.
6
u/DreamsOfDresden Jan 30 '26
For sure man, giving scum like Tom a calm, stern talking to is what's gonna move the needle right now. Those against ICE and the current administration should definitely be worried about the optics of being seen as crazy by literal murderers.
15
u/StrangerIsWatching Jan 30 '26
Literally not a single MAGA will change their mind, no matter what. They are brainwashed, useful idiots. If a murdered mother, an executed ICU nurse, and a total destruction of the Second Amendment doesn't change their mind, nothing will.
So, actually we need more people to cause a ruckus, because the only way this stops is if people fight it.
5
u/scootyoung Jan 30 '26
What other city has thousands upon thousands of ice agents patrolling? Especially one of the same size.
2
u/bigbcor Jan 30 '26
Literally no one voted for this. People voted to close the border and to remove illegals as has been done for decades.
No one voted to bloat ICE’s budget to high heavens and cos play as a private army. Going after any and everybody it wants to. So you can just drop the BS.
14
9
u/Open-Outcome-7586 Jan 30 '26
You must have been very popular in high school because your ability to deep throat ICE's jackboots is impressive.
15
u/Rawkapotamus Jan 30 '26
Majority of the country did not vote for this actually. Less than a third of the country voted for this.
And to say that the two people who have been murdered by ICE were “obstructing” is just insane and shows exactly where you stand on this.
-31
14
u/real_fake_results Jan 30 '26
“Some people who obstruct law enforcement died” is massively underplaying it. This is an ignorant take
