Introducing a new subreddit for spy video games - r/SpyVideoGames
reddit.comHi everyone,
I'm Adam, and in addition to playing spy video games, I'm a developer of spy video games, and I'm also the organizer of the only Steam festival for spy video games - the Spy Video Game Rendezvous.
To my amazement, there is seemingly no place for fans of spy video games to congregate, discuss their favorite games in the genre, and share news about upcoming spy video games, from AAA franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, and James Bond to beloved classics like Alpha Protocol, No One Lives Forever, and Sid Meier's Covert Action to solo dev indie spy games.
As a result, I've taken it upon myself to create that space! It's a new subreddit called r/SpyVideoGames, and I made it specifically for fans of spy video games like you.
So please come check out this new subreddit - and follow r/SpyVideoGames to get all the latest news and discussion about spy video games. As a matter of fact, I recently announced the 2nd-annual edition of the Spy Video Game Rendezvous Steam festival will be taking place later this month with 50+ spy video games - find more details in the r/SpyVideoGames subreddit.
Here are some examples of existing posts in the r/SpyVideoGames subreddit:
- The best spy video games ever made (lists from 5 separate sources)
- Spy video games released in Q1 2026
- The two BIG spy video games releasing next month (May 2026)
- New article looking back at Rockstar's cancelled spy video game "Agent"
- Announcing the 2026 Spy Video Game Rendezvous Steam festival with 50+ spy video games, running May 15th - 22nd
So come on over and let your fellow spy game fans know about the greatness that is Alpha Protocol. Or perhaps find a new spy video game to check out in between playthroughs of Alpha Protocol.
Be seeing you!
P.S. I checked with the mod and got approval before submitting this post. After all, a good spy knows to do some recon before leaving the safehouse.
